President, US Operations
Aidan O’Dwyer

As President of US Project Operations, Aidan is charged with providing strategic leadership to guide DPS expansion in the U.S. through development and acquisition. He brings more than 22 years of biotech and pharmaceutical industry experience, having previously served as the Senior Vice President of Operations for DPS in Framingham, Mass., since 2011, when the firm opened its first U.S. life sciences division through the acquisition of BioMetics.

Aidan has held other senior management positions with DPS before relocating to the US and was responsible for the delivery of capital projects ranging in value from $10 – $100 million for clients such as Pfizer, Merck, GSK, Eli Lilly and Janssen across various geographic locations, including Ireland, the United Kingdom, Holland and Belgium. Before joining DPS, Aidan held senior project management positions with a number of global blue-chip pharmaceutical firms, where he played key roles in the delivery of capital projects ranging from $150 – $350 million.

Senior Vice President, Boston Project Operations
Paul DePriest

In his role as Senior Vice President, Boston Project Operations Paul leads the strategic direction and continued growth of the Boston office, with a focus on expanding its client base and driving project operations improvements. He is responsible for sales and marketing of DPS Boston’s services including architectural and engineering design; commissioning, qualification and validation (CQV); and construction management.

Paul brings more than 30 years of experience in the design, engineering management, and construction management of pharmaceutical and biotechnology capital projects, and his expertise spans both project leadership and business leadership roles.

Paul offers proven leadership skills in the overall responsibility and execution of complex life sciences projects in areas that include client liaison; project execution plans and scheduling; estimating and budgets; directing execution of engineering, design, procurement, construction, and start-up; and commercial and financial stewardship of projects.

Vice President, Business Development
Eddie Skillington

As Vice President, Business Development, Eddie is responsible for expanding the firm’s client base and leading the sales and marketing of DPS services in the Boston office, including architectural and engineering design; commissioning, qualification and validation (CQV); and construction management. Eddie brings more than 18 years of industry experience in a variety of roles in the life sciences, oil and gas, chemical, power, manufacturing, and electronics industries. Starting off his career in engineering before moving into project management, Eddie has become a strong client advocate, having served in roles for owner-side project management as well as architecture/engineering (A/E) design team project management on a variety of project types at DPS. His technical expertise comprises instrumentation and control systems engineering, construction management, and CQV, and his engineering career has given him a depth of hands-on experience and understanding of all discipline trades from project ideation through qualification. Eddie has broad experience with greenfield and brownfield projects, having worked on refurbishment and expansion projects as well as new facilities. Eddie is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and holds a Master Certificate in Project Management from Villanova University and a Bachelor of Science, with Honors, in Applied Physics and Instrumentation from Cork Institute of Technology in Ireland. He is a member of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) and the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Senior Vice President, US Business Development
Jim Grunwald

Jim brings more than 30 years of experience in the AEC industry to his position of SVP, U.S. Business Development. He joined DPS Group in 2015 and previously served as Vice President of Strategic Development for Boston’s Project Operations. In this role, he successfully led teams and delivered strategic capital projects for leading biotech/pharmaceutical and advanced technology clients. Jim supports all of DPS’ internal and external client relationships with expert guidance in the areas of planning, risk assessment, site selection, estimating, CQV, and operational readiness. He also has special expertise in strategic planning, real estate development, and risk assessments associated with capital projects and product development in the regulated industry and advanced technology sectors. Additionally, Jim fulfills the role of project sponsor for many of DPS’ strategic project initiatives, providing senior management oversight and guidance to project teams on behalf of clients including Moderna, Sanofi, AbbVie, Acorda, Brammer Bio, and Waters Corporation.

Jim is an active member of ISPE Boston, having previously served as president of the chapter’s board of directors and helping to start the ISPE Boston Chapter Scholarship Fund. He is also a founding member of the I2SL New England Chapter.

Senior Director, Construction Management
Carl Bradbury

Carl Bradbury leads the Construction Management division for the DPS Boston, MA USA office. He brings over 20 years of experience in project construction management, scheduling, budget manage­ment, quality standards, safety management, contract reviews, pre-construction, and development of scopes of work. He is highly skilled in coordination of all direct trade labor, material procurement, subcontractor administration, safety, and client relations. Carl’s experience is primarily focused on pharmaceutical and biotechnology projects; and has worked on significant semiconductor, chemical, industrial, and food industry projects. He also holds a Massachusetts Construction Supervisor Licence (CSL).

Senior Director, Engineering and Architecture
Brian Duffy

Brian Duffy has over 20 years of experience in the Biotechnology industry in the areas of process design engineering, large capital project execution, biotech manufacturing support engineering, and team leadership. Brian has led the design of continuous manufacturing and disposable leveraged large-scale capital projects. His intimate knowledge of site-support issues, manufacturing in a regulated environment, and capital execution make him uniquely suited to today’s life sciences project environment.

Director of Project Management
John Doring

John Doring has over 35 years of experience in project management and construction management across multiple industries, including pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical, chemical, industrial, and healthcare. John oversees operations and projects, develops and manages the expanding team of project management professionals, and ensures projects are executed according to industry best practices.

Throughout his career, John has held design and management positions and was responsible for a portfolio of life science projects for prominent operating companies. In addition to serving as a director of engineering services, he has extensive field experience as a construction manager and program manager. John earned a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Northeastern University.

Director, Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation
Tom Struble

In his role as Director of Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation (CQV), Tom leads the DPS Boston Projects CQV group. In this role, Tom will be responsible for project delivery, training, and development of personnel as well as the management of the business unit. Tom was also recently elected to the position of Vice President on the ISPE Boston Board of Directors. An active member since 2011, Tom has served with the Product Show Planning Committee, working in many capacities focusing on education and event exhibitors, culminating in chairing the committee for two years before joining the ISPE Boston Board of Directors in July 2018.

He was elected Secretary in July 2019. A former Submarine Officer in the U.S. Navy, Tom has over 17years of experience managing projects and teams, with nine of those in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. He is a graduate of Cornell University and earned a master’s degree in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University.
