Role description:
Arcadis is seeking a Tool Coordinator in Hillsboro, Oregon to support our semiconductor sector. This role is responsible for coordinating field activities, vendors, trades, logistics, and stakeholders to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within scope, and in alignment with quality and protocol requirements.
The Tool Coordinator spends most of their time in the field supporting daily execution, readiness, milestone coordination, and real-time issue resolution across tool install, decommissioning, and startup activities
Role accountabilities:
- Coordinate daily field execution for tool installation, demo, tie-ins, and related construction activities to support safe and efficient project delivery.
- Serve as the main coordination point between Project Managers, trades, vendors, logistics, EHS, and client stakeholders to remove constraints and maintain alignment.
- Track tool progress, daily activities, and percent complete using field validation, collaboration tools, and reporting systems such as Power BI or scheduling platforms.
- Support readiness milestones, including MIMO walks, tool readiness checklists, pre-SL1/SL1/SL2 activities, field inspections, and turnover support.
- Ensure work is executed in compliance with safety, quality, protocol, permit, and site requirements, and escalate issues that cannot be resolved in the field.
- Coordinate procurement and readiness needs for labor, materials, prefabrication items, long-lead items, and tool-related support scope.
- Support documentation, signoffs, field bulletins, change management, and approval workflows as needed.
- Coordinate staging, laydown, logistics, rigging, escorts, and field access requirements for tool and vendor activities.
- Drive daily huddles and stakeholder coordination meetings to keep work plans aligned and constraints visible.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent field experience will also be considered.
- 3+ years of experience in tool install, construction coordination, field execution, vendor management, or similar project delivery work in semiconductor, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
- Strong understanding of field coordination, construction sequencing, safety compliance, readiness planning, and cross-functional stakeholder management.
- Experience supporting schedule tracking, constraint management, daily reporting, and progress validation in the field.
- Working knowledge of project tools such as Microsoft Office, Power BI, P6, collaboration platforms, or similar systems.
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and escalation skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Ability to provide legal US work authorization documents required. Will consider US domestic travelers and relocation.
