Snr Structural Designer

Position summary: This challenging position involves working as part of a multi-discipline, highly interactive and coordinated team focused on projects including semiconductor manufacturing, data centre facilities, and other state of the art manufacturing facilities. Come be a part of a vibrant, dynamic team that delivers world class designs for industry leading clients around the world. We design of some of the most complex and specialized facilities being constructed today. Projects for our clients include feasibility studies, long-range planning studies, and full design services including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and services during construction for design/bid/build and design/build projects. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with strong communication skills. They will exhibit a passion and desire to apply their professional experience and knowledge in a team environment on technically challenging and professionally rewarding projects. Our team is seeking a person who understands the importance of meeting their targeted commitments while being flexible to the ever-changing and fast paced environment of our clients’ sites.

Responsibilities

  • Perform necessary 2d and 3D design tasks to produce construction documents in conjunction with a team of engineers and designers.
  • Under the direction of a Senior Engineer, design Civil / Structural / Architectural services packages in Revit & AutoCAD.
  • Coordinate and collaborate real time with other disciplines such as mechanical, electrical and process to develop designs.
  • Follow quality and CAD/BIM standards.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to Engineers.
  • Perform quality review checks for 2D/3D modelling and Civil / Structural deliverables.
  • Display strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Lead and perform 2D and 3D structural/CSA design tasks to produce high quality construction documents in conjunction with engineers and designers.
  • Develop Civil / Structural / Architectural design packages in Revit and AutoCAD, ensuring coordinated and constructible outputs.
  • Coordinate and collaborate in real time with Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Architectural and Tool Install disciplines to develop integrated designs.
  • Follow Arcadis quality, CAD/BIM standards, and digital delivery procedures.
  • Provide technical support, guidance, and mentoring to junior designers and engineers.
  • Perform detailed quality review checks for 2D/3D modelling and structural/CSA deliverables.
  • Support design issue resolution during construction and tool installation phases.
  • Display strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in a fast paced team environment with multiple deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualification of diploma or degree in Civil / Structural / Building Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 4–6+ years relevant structural/CSA design experience, ideally in semiconductor tool install, base build, or large scale industrial/advanced technology projects.
  • Strong engineering/design experience in industrial structural systems, including reinforced concrete, steel structures, equipment layout definition, and tool install interfaces.
  • Experience working in Revit within a BIM environment; familiarity with BIM 360 advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Civil / Structural / Architectural design standards (minimum UK/EU), with an understanding of international building codes.
  • Ability to interact with other engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors at all levels.
  • Demonstrable experience working in a multi discipline team environment.
