Arcadis is seeking a Director of Construction. The Director of Construction is responsible for the US Semiconductor Business Unit construction management department, ensuring consistent execution of construction projects with a prime focus on safety, quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The majority of projects will be in Advanced Technology/Semiconductor industries, including cleanroom, critical environment, high purity, MEP, Controls, and Life Safety systems in High Volume Manufacturing and Research and Development Facilities throughout all phases of construction from base-build through tool installation.As an individual with broad expertise in all aspects of advanced facilities construction, the Director of Construction will be part of the US Semiconductor Business Unit leadership team contributing to business growth, team development, and implementation of quality, knowledge base, and training initiatives. Externally, they are expected to attend and present at industry events, prepare white papers to promote the brand and technical leadership, and maintain strong client relationships.

Role accountabilities:

  • Manages operations of the construction management department, including staff management and development for Senior Construction Managers, Construction Managers, Superintendents, Project Engineers, and Field Engineers.
  • Drives the vision and growth of the department across the US to ensure consistent project delivery for clients in all locations.
  • Business development and proposal development.
  • Contract and change management.
  • Executive level oversight of all active construction projects, working closely with Project Managers and Construction Managers including project financial performance monitoring.
  • Close coordination with Project Management, Design, Project Controls, Procurement, and Project Administration departments.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a related construction management or engineering discipline with a minimum of 15 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Extensive experience in semiconductor or advanced technology facility construction (e.g., cleanroom, high-purity piping, tool install).
  • Software proficiencies should include Deltek, Procore, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Project
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
  • Ability to provide legal US work authorization documents required. Will consider US domestic travelers and relocation.
