Role description:
Arcadis APM is seeking a Tool Install Dock Coordinator to join our growing team in Boise, Idaho. In this role you will work onsite at our clients facility, supporting logistics and materials management activities related to large high-tech construction projects.
Successful candidates will have experience working in logistics and material/equipment movement, possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail with an analytical mind, and strong computer proficiency aptitude. Background in logistics, Construction, and/or Tool Install environment(s) is advantageous.
This position will ultimately manage and/or support the overall coordination of tool and equipment arrivals into a new facility, including tool equipment, material and pedestal deliveries. This coordination includes but is not limited to the planning of the dock(s), MIMO path and freight elevators.
This position is for local candidates and will require you to work onsite at the client facility or Arcadis APM office.
Role accountabilities:
- Act as a primary point of contact for the Tool Install team to manage the plan, organize, review, and execute multiple logistics activities.
- Develop, maintain and update tracking logs, analyze data and work to identify potential issues proactively.
- Coordinate with rigging team (Subcontractors) to ensure personnel are available upon delivery, report to the team on assign task status, highlight inconsistencies, work to proactively identify critical impact items and escalate as necessary. Ensure all required personnel are in place and available to receive and move required equipment and/or material.
- Ability to proactively escalate issues and coordinate changes to the plan, ability to adapt and plan accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with management, vendors, trades, and stakeholders at multiple levels; build and maintain positive relationships with all project partners.
- Prepare and maintain tool install and material delivery schedule, real-time updates and coordination.
- Work with the client to align and provide visibility to overall logistics plan and tracking, as other suppliers and vendors will be occupying the same space, dock, crane and freight elevator time and planning will be crucial and required.
- Prepare project reports and documentation in collaboration with Team Lead.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 2+ years of relevant experience in warehouse management, logistics, or tool install construction.
- Detail oriented with strong analytical skills and a keen eye for identifying opportunity.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) is required.
- Strong computer proficiency including MS Office Suite, scheduling software a plus.
- Ability to provide legal US work authorization documents required. Will consider US domestic travelers and relocation.
