Role description:

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager / Design Lead to support our Semiconductor sector with a focus on semiconductor tool install, facility retrofit, and manufacturing infrastructure projects. This role can be remote, with preference for candidates located in Albany, NY; Chandler, AZ; Hillsboro, OR; or Boise, ID due to proximity to key semiconductor project locations. Travel to project sites will be required based on project needs.

In this role, you will be an integral part of our engineering and design team, working alongside engineering managers, discipline leads, architects, and project managers to deliver complex projects for semiconductor manufacturing and advanced technology facilities. Role accountabilities:

  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design efforts for semiconductor tool install, facility upgrade, and retrofit projects across Arcadis’ Semiconductor sector.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, technical deliverables, and quality expectations in collaboration with engineering managers, discipline leads, and project managers.
  • Develop and maintain project execution plans, including technical requirements, design reviews, engineering standards, risk mitigation strategies, and document control processes.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to support facility integration, installation readiness, utility connections, and issue resolution during design and execution.
  • Review design packages, track RFIs, submittals, and changes, and help ensure compliance with project requirements, applicable codes, and quality standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience as a Design Lead, Engineering Project Manager, Project Engineer, or similar role supporting semiconductor, advanced technology, or other complex technical facility projects.
  • Direct experience with semiconductor manufacturing facilities, tool install projects, facility modifications, cleanroom environments, or manufacturing MEP/process utility systems strongly preferred.
  • Associate degree in a relevant engineering discipline required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, industrial, process engineering, or related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with industry tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM platforms; strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills required.
  • Knowledge of cleanroom protocols, multidisciplinary engineering coordination, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments in a fast-paced project environment.
  • PMP, CAPM, or similar project management certification is a plus.
  • Ability to provide legal US work authorization documents required. Will consider US domestic travelers and relocation.
