DPS Pharmaceutical Specialists

8 March 2016

DPS pharmaceutical specialists were actively engaged in presentations at key industry events in March with Mark White, Group Engineering Lead, presenting at the Annual ISPE EU conference in Frankfurt, March 8th, 9th and Steve Fitzpatrick, SVP., Technology Consultant, presenting at a PDA round table meeting on Cell and Gene Therapy in Berlin, March 10th.

Mark presented on the topic of Flexible, Fast and Future Production Processes, outlining the resurgence of small molecule API’s and the trends towards small volume higher potency pharmaceuticals requiring a re-think on facility design towards smaller, flexible, high containment facilities based on plug and play strategies, enabled for continuous manufacturing and bringing F3 Factory concept into play.

At the Cell Therapy round table event in Berlin, Steve joined a group of industry experts, highlighting DPS’s experience in cell and gene therapy facilities for over 20 years and bringing his experience to bear on how best to address the manufacturing scale challenges for advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs), autologous and allogeneic somatic stem cells and T cells, including key issues such as contamination control, increased use of automation and product characterisation.
