Designing a Synthesis Reactor Facility at ISPE Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing Conference
Exploring the approach and execution of the design
Michael Clucas, Head of Process Engineering for DPS, presented at the ISPE Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing Conference, which was held in San Francisco.
Michael presented a case study which explored the approach and execution of the design of a multi-product synthesis reactor facility, using a modified filter dryer.
Michael has over 20 years’ experience in process design, project management, commissioning and operations across the pharmaceutical, environmental, energy, food and oil and gas sectors. Michael has extensive expertise in the area of process design deliverables from site master planning, concept through to detailed design including intelligent P&ID systems, simulation packages, detailed design calculations and engineering standards for biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical and secondary facilities. He also performs the role of HAZOP chair, ATEX consultant and environmental consultant.
Michael leads a large team of process engineers across all levels of project expertise, with responsibility for quality of process design and technical excellence. He has extensive knowledge of environmental and safety technologies and regulatory requirements.
