Position summary
:
The successful Project Manager (Electrical) will be accountable for the delivery of the Electrical systems onsite associated largely with temporary works. This includes taking various levels of responsibility for, and participation in the development of project scope, budget and schedule.
The Project Manager (Electrical) will be seen by the client as the Single Point of Contact and accountable for the delivery for their systems.

Key responsibilities:
  • Project Manage the implementation of the construction and handover phase of the project.
  • Review project scope, budget and schedule.
  • Coordinate with the general contractor to monitor and track work ensuring delivery of the schedule and budget.
  • Participate in design reviews.
  • Review issues to drive continuous improvement.
  • Technical & constructability input to Cost challenges.
  • Input to cost forecasting & reviews.
  • Strong Quality of installation.
  • Strong Field presence.
  • Strong advocate for Safety performance in field.
  • Working with support groups & other work groups.
  • Work in accordance with client agreed documentation control systems.
  • Candidate will have a proven track record of managing tasks and the resources associated with contract deliverables
 
Specific responsibilities to this role.
  • Develop SOW document in line with each quarter and functional area needs.
  • Liaise with trades QS and intel QS for agreed scope costings.
  • Site walk with trades and design for POC alignment and scope development.
  • Manage trades site works/design/procurement/QS.
  • Review trades schedule of works. MSRA / permits/ logistics
  • Liaise between Intel BB/ BB trades/TI trades.
  • Report progress to Intel CM.
Education & experience:
  • Project Manager (Electrical) should be qualified as a Bachelor of Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 5 to 10 years Previous Experience in Electrical Systems Construction Management at a Project Management Level.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and have a working knowledge of office personal computer applications
  • Proficiency with reading and interpreting standard construction documents, schedules, contracts and proposals.
  • Technically competent on all aspects of electrical and I&C Systems. These will include Emergency Power Systems, FMS systems, Life Safety Systems, Lighting and Power and Security Systems.
Essential skills:
Great communication skills and ability to be an interface between the Basebuild and Tool Install systems.
