Position Title: Process engineer - Location: Leiden Office  - Reports to: Process Department Manager

Position summary: DPS is currently hiring a Process engineer for our Leiden office. Key responsibilities: Contribute to the process design team for:

  • Basics of design development;
  • Concept studies;
  • Develop process PFD’s and P&ID;
  • Execute the process of mass balance/ flow calculations;
  • Develop equipment designs and technical bid analysis;
  • Execute pressure relief valve calculations;
  • Contribute to continuous improvement program actions

Skills & experience required:

  • A higher technical degree, major in Industrial, process or chemical engineering;
  • 3+ years of relevant and successful experience in an environment with pharmaceutical engineering;
  • Preference for familiarity with: Autoclaves, VHP, Pass Through Part Washers, Kill-tanks, Isolators, Downstream processing, Filling systems and Packaging/labelling systems;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills;
  • Result- and customer-oriented;
  • Excellent analytic, problem-solving and decision-making skills;
  • Advanced MS office computer skills;
  • You master the Dutch and English language.


Working hours: 40 hours, Monday to Friday
Fluent in English language and Dutch language skills are a plus.
