Compliance Officer

Compliance Officer

The compliance officer will be responsible for working within the Compliance department on the management associated with the compliance policies, in particular Data Protection policies. In addition, the role-holder, will support in the preparation of reports and updates on the status of compliance to input into the Sustainability Program. The role-holder will be responsible for auditing where required to support DPS policies. Additional support of the integrated quality, environmental and health and safety management systems would be beneficial to support our current and future systems. Strong Word, Excel and Powerpoint skills are essential for this role with good communications and an ability to present and train in policies is required.

Requirements:

  • Information Security/Data Protection (GDPR) trained
  • Demonstrated experience of working on similar projects/tasks in the past is essential for this role.
  • Knowledge of Management Systems; ISO is preferred
  • Knowledge of Sustainability reporting systems and tools (CDP, RBA)
  • Strong MS Word and Excel skills are beneficial. Powerpoint and Outlook skills must also be strong.
  • Excellent time management capabilities: plans, prioritises and organises multiple concurrent tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a willingness to help others.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to operate without close supervision.
  • Experience of working in an Engineering or Projects environment is an advantage
