About the Role:

The US Regional Director, EH&S provides leadership, direction, development, and continuous improvement of the DPS safety culture through verbal and written communication. Responsible for frequent safety visits to job sites/client facilities, develops and conducts EH&S training programs, and provides safety coaching and mentoring to US Project Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a technical resource for construction management group.
• Manage the EH&S Function across all US Project locations
• Develop EH&S US strategy and execute programs to ensure all policies and processes are fully implemented and are in compliance with all applicable regulatory and company requirements.
• Provide leadership and guidance with respect to education programs, roll-out and staff engagement with all EH&S procedures, guidelines and work instructions
• Create and implement uniformed EH&S policies and procedures across all US project locations
• Develop and conduct EH&S training to ensure consistency across all operations
• Provide safety support for construction management projects as needed.
• Review safety inspections and safety observations generated by field personnel and provide coaching to ensure continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Master’s degree or equivalent
• 10 years related experience
• Strong technical competency in EHS
• Strong MS Office experience (Word, Excel, Powerpoint & Outlook)
• Analytic thinking/skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Outstanding training and presentation skills
• Flexible; able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Well organised with excellent attention to detail.
