Position summary:
DPS has an exciting opportunity for a BIM Manager, to join our advanced technology design team This is a leadership role based in Dublin with excellent career prospects. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and ambitious team, having responsible for delivering all aspects of BIM execution on multiple semiconductor projects. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with strong communication skills. They will exhibit a passion and desire to apply their technical experience and knowledge in a team environment on technically challenging and professionally rewarding projects. Our team is seeking a person who understands the importance of meeting their targeted commitments while being flexible to the ever-changing and fast paced environment of our clients’ sites.

Key responsibilities:

• In-charge of developing the BIM execution plan for each project, responsible to ensure that the project BIM standards, strategy and objectives are met.
• Manage the BIM relationship between the company, its clients, external consultants, construction team and trade contractors.
• Act as the single point of contact for the design team on all internal BIM matters and issues.
• Work closely with each department manager to define the project BIM deliverables for each discipline and maintain the master drawing & model register for each project.
• In conjunction with the design manager and department managers address any workflow, software, or training related issues on projects.
• Manage a number of BIM coordinators and Revit / Plant3D software administrators, assigning / prioritising work tasks and monitoring performance.
• Lead the weekly Clash Detection meetings, dispositioning all clashes and elevating non-resolved issues to the Design Manager as needed for resolution.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, implement best practice, procedures, workflows and technology in alignment with the company strategy and project needs.
• Owner of BIM standards and work practices for the design team.
• Create and enforce Revit and Cad standards, SOP’s, work instructions and client standards.
• Managing the quality of all project BIM content such as BIM models, 2D & 3D drawings, project filing, xrefs, library files, templates, pdfs.
• Conduct compliance audits on project deliverables and proactively work with owners to address.
• Administrate BIM data and model federation of the project models to ensure seamless coordination between disciplines.
• Elevate all software and hardware support issues to IT department, act as the primary point of contact for production software related issues and troubleshooting.
• Providing mentoring and leadership to all BIM staff.
• Facilitate an internal BIM training program, ensuring that all designers, engineers and management are trained and up-to-date with the current best practices and procedures needed to deliver the project.
• Support for the project manager in preparations and delivery of project presentations, proposal materials and business development activities.
• Keep up-to-date with advancements in BIM technology and best practices.

Education & experience:

• 3rd Level Degree in and Architectural or Engineering related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience

Essential skills:

• In-depth working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD (or equivalent software) , and a skilled user of digital technology tools such as Navisworks, BIM360, Scanning, AR/VR ect.
