About this Opportunity


To support our continued growth, we are seeking to appoint a Department Manager to lead a well-established Piping team. This is a key leadership role within our multidisciplinary regional project team in Dublin, and is responsible for the planning and co-ordination of resources to fulfil all associated specialism aspects of the Design, Construction, Commissioning and Qualification activities on projects of varying siz961190.582438e, scope and complexity.



Summary of Responsibilities


Responsible for the management of team (#16) and the technical output produced by the Piping & CAD Department in the design of projects for tender and construction. In addition, the DM will also participate on projects and demonstrate strong technical and management skill.

  • Codes and Standards
  • Ensure DPS Quality SOPs, instructions and guidelines on projects are implemented to maintain quality standards
  • Project risk identification and mitigation.  
  • Continuous Improvement initiatives



Education & Experience

  • Strong preference for professional status (e.g. Chartered Engineer or discipline equivalent).
  • Team management experience within project engineering, pharma / bio life sciences or similar industry. Demonstrated ability to successfully win and deliver business projects.
  • Ideally 15 years' experience in discipline area with a minimum of 5 years in a design office environment. Must have previous experience as the Piping Design Lead on projects.

  • It is important that you can participate in project engineering coordination activities.
  • You have the following competences: result and customer-oriented, communication skills, listening and working in a team.
  • Experience in a similar role would be preferable.
