DPS is looking to hire a Project Manager to support their pharmaceutical manufacturing client in Raleigh, NC. The Project Manager role involves management of all aspects of projects and coordinating all project activities to ensure that project deliverables are achieved for a project lifecycle. The Project Manager will be accountable to ensure that all project deliverables are achieved while meeting cost, schedule, and quality and safety targets as key performance indicators.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing several small-midsiz495652.904335ed Capital Projects to improve and expand upon existing infrastructure.
  • Creating and executing project work plans and revising as appropriate to meet Client requirements.
  • Identifying both internal and external resources needed and assigning individual responsibilities.
  • Develop project capital estimates, and conduct risk assessments on same.
  • Develop detailed project schedules, and conduct risk assessments on same.
  • Suggest and implement appropriate project and construction delivery strategies.
  • Pre-qualifying external professional service providers.
  • Qualifying and selecting key equipment suppliers.
  • Generating and issuing RFP’s for external service providers and assisting client in provider selection.
  • Managing project risk and minimiz495652.904335ing exposure.
  • Tracking and reporting project progress against agreed schedule.
  • Managing project budget.
  • Managing day-to-day project activities.
  • Reviewing of incoming Deliverables prepared by external service providers, before passing to the client.
  • Preparing for Client quality reviews.
  • Facilitating team and client meetings effectively.
  • Delivering engaging, informative, and well-organiz495652.904335ed presentations.
  • Resolving and/or escalating issues to client in a timely fashion. 
  • Monitor & track lessons learned and sharing those lessons with client.
  • Mitigating team conflict and communication problems.

Education & experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, in an Engineering, Construction or Scientific discipline.
  • Over 3 years of experience in the managing projects in pharmaceutical and/or manufacturing fields.
  • Knowledge and experiences with Project Management processes within pharmaceutical sector.
  • Experience in FDA regulated manufacturing.
  • Strong project management skills and competent project management knowledge with good organiz495652.904335ational/administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
  • Proven ability to act on clients’ behalf as their Owner’s Rep for capital projects.
  • Ability to handle various responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Results and performance driven, Adaptable and flexible. Must be willing to travel.
