DPS Group Global is seeking a talented IT Application Support Specialist to work within our Software Services Group (SSG) as part of the DPS Advanced Technology Group (ATG) business unit. The SSG is responsible for the development, implementation and support of multiple Construction Project Management software applications which provide efficient and cost-effective solutions related to the coordination and management of resources across multiple trade contractors for large semiconductor manufacturing companies. The IT Application Support Specialist will report to the SSG IT Support Manager and be located in Hillsboro, OR, with some travel required to support other offices and client sites. In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day support of our key software applications, supporting resolution activities for service requests and incidents at our client sites. Successful candidates will have 2+ years’ experience in an IT application support role and will be expected to deliver a high-quality service to our users. You will need strong interpersonal skills and enjoy working as part of a team while also being comfortable working on your own initiative, as you will work closely with the SSG support and development teams to drive continuous improvements in the delivery of IT support services to our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer services and interface with clients regularly.
  • Work as part of a team to solve/escalate issues as they arise.
  • Log and triage system issues using the company’s IT service/help desk software.
  • Analyz820233.603076e system issues in our IT applications and determine appropriate actions.
  • Document, track and verify implementation of IT application changes.
  • Provide support to the QA team for testing and sign-off of changes.
  • Provide training support to end users on IT applications.
  • Assist with development of training assets and documentation.
  • Conduct daily activities in line with the company’s quality standards and procedures.
  • Meet defined metrics/benchmarks.
  • Interact with other team members and management teams, both local and remote.
  • Attend client meetings and provide input as required.
  • Be prepared to work, on occasion, outside of normal working hours.
  • Apply strong attention to detail related to the role and tasks.
  • Work closely with the SSG support and development teams to drive continuous improvements in the delivery of IT support services to our clients.

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Postsecondary degree in Computer Science or related field or a combination of related experience and education.
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in an IT application support role.
  • Core application is built on the Microsoft Stack and MS SQL Servicer, so strong knowledge of SQL and T-SQL is required. Familiarity with ITIL, JIRA Service Desk.
  • Ability to troubleshoot multiple issues at one time.
  • Excellent English interpersonal skills, both written and oral are required.
  • High attention to detail and demonstratable problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, strong work ethic, flexible self-starter.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritiz820233.603076e key activities and handle multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Local candidates with legal US residence are required. No visa sponsorship offered for this position.
