Summary

DPS Group is seeking Senior Project Managers to work with one of our world class advanced technology clients in Albuquerque, NM. The Project Manager will directly support the Client Project Manager and be responsible for overseeing the successful completion of advanced technology facilities construction projects and able to successfully manage multiple projects at the same time.  Successful candidates will have a proven history of working with manufacturing and construction personnel on industrial construction projects within the microelectronics industry.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the different aspects of projects: scope, schedule, budget, invoices, risk, quality, and resources.
  • Manage relationships with contractors, control space allocation, and maintain facility project budgets.
  • Manage relevant stakeholders, setting deadlines, communicating with project owners/company executives about the state of the project.
  • Ensure projects stay on track and on budget.
  • Prepare bid comparison, conduct bid clarifications, prepare recommendation.  Prepare contract documentation for Procurement review.
  • Manage Project Design: Manage design services contractor. Conduct 30/60/90/IFC Design Reviews with Design firm and stakeholders. Manage any design change requests.
  • Liaison with appropriate city/state/federal authorities.
  • Coordinate Project Construction: Review Submission with General Contractor. Issue Purchase Request for General Contractor scope. Address any third-party small contracts required to support work.
  • Proactive Change Management: validate change orders including impacts to cost and schedule.
  • Review monthly invoices for approval.
  • Project Turnover & Close Out
  • Assist with coordination of functional testing and commissioning
  • Manage punch-list to closure and owner’s handover.
  • Coordinate project close out.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • 10+ years supporting semiconductor manufacturing/construction projects required. Experience both working directly for the Client as well as a consultant is preferred.
  • Computer proficient; MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) with working knowledge of standard construction/project management software applications.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong organiz296897.191166ational skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and be a self-starter.
  • Diploma or Degree level qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business preferred.
  • Ability to provide legal US work authoriz296897.191166ation documents required.
