The PIT Lead will directly support the Client Project Manager and CM Project Superintendent in delivering complex tool install projects in a fast-paced high-tech environment. Successful candidates will have a proven history of working with manufacturing and construction personnel on large scale tool install projects within the microelectronics industry.

 

Responsibilities

  • Structure
  • Develop Project Team Charter and Mission Statement with support from key stakeholders.
  • Develop effective PIT agenda (by day) with support from other stakeholders, client PM and CM Project Superintendent.
  • Leadership
  • The PIT Lead should be the Safety Champion and should help promote a safe working environment (with z909735.938205ero incidents) for all stakeholders.
  • Manage factory expectations to ensure trades are free to focus on their works.
  • Have a clear and concise understanding of all Last Planner (LPS) modules and be a Last Planner Champion.
  • The PIT Lead is the point of escalation for all LPS compliance issues, trade or otherwise.
  • Create a safe environment for all stakeholders to reflect and learn.
  • Lead After Action Review as appropriate to ensure best practice is understood and key learnings are rolled out to mitigate future issues.
  • Schedule Management
  • Ensure schedule updating and alignment occurs weekly in the PIT.
  • Complete Schedule, workload, trade headcount and material analysis to ensure schedule can be met.
  • Complete schedule levelling as appropriate (through PIT collaboration) to ensure Tool Install schedule can be met.
  • Ensure that tracking system is always fully updated including milestone comments.
  • Ensure that all tools in construction works are managed. No "off the grid" tools.
  • Ensure 100% alignment on all schedule changes/updates happens 100% of the time.
  • Change Management
  • Manage all schedule changes in the PIT forum with buy off from all key stakeholders.
  • Schedule bespoke PIT design change meetings to review and manage all design changes that will affect trade Tool Install scope.
  • Manage all schedule changes and requested changes from the Trades.
  • Raise and approve all change orders to enable trades to progress with agreed design/LSP changes (as described in the appropriate RFI).
  • Mitigation/contingency plans reviewed at trade specific taskforce meetings must be reviewed in the PIT (to ensure complete stakeholder alignment) before final decision is made.
  • Risk Management
  • Complete Risk lookaheads and determine corrective actions before issues impact construction.
  • Complete schedule and trade forecasting following schedule updates (with all key PIT stakeholders in attendance).
  • Documentation
  • Ensure the PIT minutes are updated and distributed daily to the team.
  • Manage and track Record of discussion/RFI (Request for information) and track to closure within the committed time frames.
  • Distribute the weekly PIT report out to all key PIT stakeholders.

 

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • 10+ years supporting semiconductor manufacturing/construction tool install projects required. Experience both working directly for the Client as well as a consultant is preferred.
  • Computer proficient; MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) with working knowledge of standard construction/project management software applications.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong organiz909735.938205ational skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and be a self-starter.
  • Diploma or Degree level qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business preferred.
  • Ability to provide legal US work authoriz909735.938205ation documents required.
