DPS is currently hiring for a Procurement Specialist for our Leiden office. We are searching for a candidate to build up a long-term relationship with DPS. As the workload fluctuates DPS would like to team up with a Professional procurement specialist to execute all procurement aspects, administration of contacts in our ERP system and other related project control tasks. As the Procurement Specialist will be working on pharma industry projects, experience in this marked is strongly preferred. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for executing, supervising and coordinating the generation of key project deliverables in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary project team. The Procurement Specialist manages the interface between the disciplines, the client in line with the project scope, schedule and budgeted hours. The candidate will act as the Procurement point of contact on projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the execution of deliverables within an agreed schedule, within an agreed set of hours and to an acceptable quality. The Procurement Specialist will work closely with the DPS Project Manager.

Key responsibilities:
- Preparation and presentation of project procurement strategy plans.
- Set-up of procurement tracker reports.
- Expediting and tracking of any engineering deliverables that are required to achieve desired equipment delivery dates (e.g. specifications, tender scope amendments & clarifications, TBAs, manufacturing drawing approvals, FAT).
- Expediting and tracking of all other activities that are required to achieve desired equipment delivery dates, (e.g. enquiry issue, vendor bids, CBAs, negotiation of terms & conditions, ATO & PO, manufacturing, delivery of equipment, completion of commissioning & documentation – MDB & guarantee).
- Administer all communications and correspondence as sole point of contact with all vendors during the tender process.
- Set-up and chair vendor tender clarification meetings & prepare & issue minutes of same.
- Attend and present at project meetings internally and with clients.
- Operate the vendor invoice payment authorisation process.
- Perform duties utilising the companies standard templates and procedures.
Skills & experience required:
- A higher Technical Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Minimal Bachelor and preferably Master degree);
- 7+ years of relevant and successful procurement experience, preferable in design consultancy and client-site environments in the pharma industry;
- Experience in the procurement of vendor equipment for the pharmaceutical or a related industry is essential;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills;
- Strong commercial awareness;
- Advanced time management and organisational skills;
- Self-starter capable of working on own with minimal supervision;
- Strong attention to detail and reporting skills;
- Computer literate.

- Working hours: Project Dependent, flexible, typically three days per week;
- Duration: Flexible.
