The Director PM&E will be driven by teamwork, client service, and mentoring and development of technical and project management staff. Key Responsibilities:

  •    Expert level practitioner of Project Management (PM) practices
  •    Establish, in collaboration with the practitioners in our various offices, best-in-class PM, Architecture and Engineering standards in terms of procedures, guidelines and work instructions
  •    Provide leadership and guidance with respect to training, roll-out, and staff engagement with our procedures, guidelines and work instructions
  •    Provide leadership and create forums for both technical and project management innovation and development of new ideas, technologies, and methodologies
  •    Identify and research future industry trends - keep on top of technology and industry developments
  •    Provide leadership and create forums for interoffice collaboration, in terms of executing project work, enabling a connected organiz294996.78837ation, and fostering new ideas
    •    Drive technical discussions and decisions based on cost, operability, schedule and technical suitability
    •    Support standardiz294996.78837ation and consistent implementation of design quality, in compliance with DPS Quality System - DPS is a ISO9001:2015 certified firm (all offices); This role collaborates closely with US Quality Manager
    •    Responsibility for standardiz294996.78837ation and consistent implementation of BIM/VDC and associated technology platform in compliance with DPS BIM Procedures; US BIM/VDC Manager reports into this role
    •    Champion and coordinate our Subject-Matter-Expert (SME) programme in conjunction with Operations and HR
    •    Champion and coordinate our lessons learned program in conjunction with Operations
    •    Champion and coordinate technical Communities of Practice (CoP) programs
    •    Champion and coordinate mentoring programs in conjunction with Operations and HR
    •    Champion and promote professional engagement with relevant industry bodies (ISPE, PDA, SEMI, etcetera)
    •    Support Business Development for client engagement at senior levels

 

Education & Experience:

  •    BS Degree in Engineering, Architecture or related discipline
  •    Professional License in applicable discipline (engineering or architecture) preferred
  •    20+ years of relevant experience in engineering/design firm setting with a focus on Life Sciences and / or Advanced Technology (Semiconductor) sectors
  •    Active member of ISPE, PDA, SEMI and/or other industry bodies preferred
  •    Recogniz294996.78837ed by clients as a critical thinker, sought after by global clients to assist in technically complex problems

  •    Be considered a leader in their area of expertise and be well networked in the sector; this individual must be able to influence others in a collaborative manner to achieve the required outcome
  •    Have an in-depth knowledge on current state of the industry, current challenges and proposed solutions and technological trends
