Position summary:

DPS is currently hiring an Electrical Department Manager for our Cary, NC office. We are seeking a senior Electrical Engineer with leadership capabilities and extensive experience designing power, lighting and special systems for facilities and project delivery. Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology experience is desirable and a distinct advantage.

Key responsibilities:

  • ·       Prepare and participate in project proposals, man-hour estimating and client presentations
  • ·       Participate in presentations at industry conferences and writing of papers in publications. Identify and research future industry trends. Keep on top of technology and industry developments
  • ·       Takes ownership of assignments, can work both independently and as part of the team.
  • ·       Support Business Development for client engagement at senior levels
  • ·       Prepare and review detailed electrical designs
  • ·       Manage, develop and grow the electrical team
  • ·       Manage work assignments
  • ·       Recruit and develop staff
  • ·       Provide technical backup to the operations teams in resolving complex electrical problems
  • ·       Execute semi-annual performance reviews for department employees
  • ·       Create annual professional development plans for department employees

Skills & experience required:

  • ·       15+ years of experience
  • ·       Bachelor’s Degree
  • ·       Professional Engineer (PE license) with ability to be licensed in numerous states
