We have an excellent opportunity for a cybersecurity professional to join our global IT team to work on maturing our architecture and processes and lead the delivery of ISO 27001 accreditation. This role requires a “hands-on” individual who enjoys working with technology. This role will involve assessing current controls and developing a global IT security strategy.

This role reports to the group CIO and will be based at our Dublin, Ireland office and include travel (10-15%) to other global DPS locations.  This is a days-based role but may involve weekend working or irregular hours dependent on business needs

Core responsibilities will include:

- Be the ‘go to’ expert for DPS on all matters relating to IT security.

- Monitor infrastructure. Report on emerging new threats and provide solutions and education accordingly.

- Respond to incidents, establish appropriate standards and controls.

- Deliver ISO27001 accreditation for the company.

- Support business and IT projects to ensure all comply with security policy and best practice.

- Assess the current state of IT security controls covering but not limited to IT networks, hosting and applications. Develop a risk based to-be strategy.

- Work closely with the business and IT leadership team to deliver the strategy.

- Provide updates to IT leadership and the US and EU management boards.

- Coordinate and implement group IT security policies and requirements. Update security policies.

- Enforce strong security adherence across the organisation, develop and deliver training and security awareness programmes.

- Specify and oversee the implementation of IT security measures.

- Assess new and existing applications. Execute external and internal IT vulnerability assessments and own the delivery of remediation.

- Own and run IT security audits.

- Support GDPR assessments of applications.

- Act as backup for our hosting, network and application leads.

Desirable experience and education:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent program in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Information Security, or Information Technology.

- Relevant Professional certification essential: CISSP, CISA, CISM or CRISC. Minimum 5 years in a Senior Information Security or similar role.

- Excellent knowledge and experience of US NIST Cybersecurity, UK Cyber Essentials, ISO27001, ISO27002, SOC 2 and GDPR.

- Experience in working in international organisations is an advantage.

- Experience of formal root cause analysis and risk assessment methodologies.

- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement. Lean certification is an advantage.

- Project management experience. PM certification is an advantage.

- In depth understanding of networks, hosting, databases, and business applications as they relate to security including cloud security architecture.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders.

- Succinct Communicator - ability to break down complex issues and communicate at all levels in the organisation.

- Ability to work in a cross-functional matrix environment.

- Keeps up to date on IT future direction.- Excellent understanding of vulnerability management and associated tools and solutions.

- Keeps up to date on all matters pertaining to IT security.

- Highly motivated. Ability to work under pressure and under own initiative.

- Solution driven with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and deliver results.
