We provide Full Service Engineering for our clients including Project and Programme Management, Procurement, Design, Construction Management, Health & Safety Management, Commissioning, Qualification and Start-up on numerous projects across a range of market sectors. Our Main market sectors are; Pharmaceutical & Biotechnology, Medical Technologies, Advanced Technology, Science & Education, Food & Beverage and Energy. 

DPS are currently putting a considerable focus on the development of our expertise in the area of Novel Therapeutics manufacturing. The Lead Process Engineer for Cell and Gene Therapy is a strategic role with respect to project delivery in this sector.

The successful candidate will take a lead role across all phases of the design lifecycle – feasibility studies, concept designs, preliminary engineering and detailed design associated with Cell Therapy and Gene Therapy (Viral Vector) projects. The individual will provide key input to early design phase activities (feasibility and concept phases), support the client in making critical process decisions and give input to facility layout development.

The successful candidate can be based out of any of our office locations in Europe, Cork, Dublin, Leiden or Overijse operation but would be required to support the European operations as whole with respect to projects in the Novel Therapeutics sector. 

Key Responsibilities:

·        Input to deliverables for project proposals

·        Represent DPS as part of the proposal presentation team

·        Manage the process design team for Novel Therapeutics projects (full design lifecycle)

·        Principal client interface for process related activities

·        Lead client workshops

·        Feasibility studies

·        Conduct peer reviews of process designs (internal and external)

·        Assist with the development of internal design guidelines and training material related to Cell and Gene Therapy (Viral Vector) processes


Ideal Candidates Will Possess :

·        A higher technical degree, major in Industrial, Process or Chemical Engineering

·        Chartered Engineer is preferred

·        Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the Biotech industry sector

·        Minimum of 3 years working specifically in the area of Cell Therapy or Gene Therapy (Viral Vector)

·        Competent in the design of single-use technology systems

·        Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

·        Excellent teamwork, interpersonal and presentation skills

·        Excellent analytic, problem-solving and decision-making skills

·        Advanced time management and organisational skills

·        Leadership skills



·      Ability to travel to client meetings and presentations, nationally and internationally

·      Working hours: 40 hours, Monday to Friday
