DPS is seeking an urgent hire for a Start Up Project Lead to support our pharmaceutical client on their new project and facility. The Start-Up lead will be responsible for the commissioning of utility systems and process equipment. The selected candidate must have 10 years of field experience in the pharmaceutical industry and strong experience with “hands on” utility energization and equipment commissioning experience. In addition, the ideal candidate will have the ability to effectively communicate, interact and collaborate with team members and external stakeholders is essential.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead start-up and commissioning of utility systems and process equipment.
  • Responsible for safe start-up of systems. Perform safety risk assessments to identify and mitigate safety haz181206.529488ards.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, interact and collaborate with team members and external stakeholders are essential.
  • Planning of daily activities and coordination of multiple start-up activities. Approve and coordinate work to be performed each day for multiple systems in an area.
  • Conduct field coordination meetings using Organiz181206.529488ational Risk Management boards to identify all haz181206.529488ards and determine mitigation strategies.
  • Development of Safe Plan of Action for all tasks: Valve alignments, LOTO, Signage and barricades.
  • Completing installation documentation.
  • Energiz181206.529488ation of utilities and equipment per written start-up plans.
  • Commissioning of utilities and equipment per written commissioning plans.
  • Verification of utilities and equipment per written verification plans.
  • Walk down of mechanical and process systems for acceptance by commissioning team.

Education & experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Construction management discipline required.
  • 10+ years of field experience in Pharma start-up and commissioning.
  • Ability to read and understand P&IDs and electrical single line drawings.
  • LOTO experience required.
