Senior Project Engineer – Kerry

An opportunity currently exists for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead the development and implementation of Capital Projects and provide technical & engineering support for the manufacturing facility. 

This will require a broad range of specialist project engineering skills. The role holder will be responsible for the project management of full turnkey projects. Project types will vary, samples include, new plant equipment installation, equipment upgrade etc. 

 

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

 

A Degree or equivalent in an Engineering or similar discipline. A Mechanical bias is preferably and a minimum 5 years plus experience. 

Excellent project management skills, any process skills would also be a distinct advantage. 

Several years’ experience and proven track record in project engineering / management.

A proactive and results-focused style of management.

A proven ability to lead and motivate others, via both direct and indirect reporting relationships, with strong coaching and people development skills. 

Strong interpersonal skills i.e. communication, listening, presentation, negotiation, conflict resolution, and facilitation.

Fluency with computer applications such as Word, Excel, AutoCAD, project management software and ERP systems (e.g. SAP).

 

Responsibilities will include

 

Manage the implementation of a number of capital projects for the site and, on occasions for other manufacturing sites within Ireland, to time, cost & quality using both internal and external resources as appropriate. 

Assist in the development of the factory forward investment strategy, identifying and driving a number of capital projects, to help deliver the factories forward plan.

Assist in the provision of technical & engineering input to support the site’s commercial and operational performance objectives. 

Provide coaching, development & support as required to other members of the project team and factory based technical personnel.
