Utilities / Facilities Engineer 

Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager the successful Utilities / Facilities Engineer will have a minimum of 4 years Engineering experience in a pharmaceutical, process or regulated industry.

To take leadership of Utilities & Facilities process and improvement projects including capital projects. Secondary Responsibility of Utilities for Key performance Indicators including Water For Injection (WFI) generation and distribution, Pure Steam generation, compressed air, HVAC, and other utilities / facilities for Cork site and ensure same processes are operating to maximum efficiency.

Responsibility to ensure Utilities is compliant to all associated standards for, site, local, corporate, and regulatory requirements.

Lead the site Energy Team for managing plant activities associated with energy reduction for cost savings and corporate energy targets.

 

 MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Manage Utilities & Facilities engineering activities of the Cork site and ensure that these activities comply with laws and regulations of local authorities, regulatory bodies and corporate guidelines.

Responsible for the site remaining compliant with all relevant and up to date Utilities/Facilities policies and standards.

Lead the Site Energy team to ensure site energy is managed effectively to meet energy saving targets.

Responsible for having necessary Engineering skills and resources available to maximise operational equipment uptime.

Complete all relevant Validation documentation, URS, FDS, IQ, OQ etc.

Ensure seamless handover to maintenance as per site policies.

The coordination of all Utilities & Facilities contractors associated with their work.

 

 PRINCIPAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

 

Degree or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline.

At least 4 years Engineering experience in a pharmaceutical, process or regulated industry.

A strong working knowledge of Utilities/Facilities equipment & systems

Excellent knowledge and experience of documentation, standards, and guidelines.

Excellent communication skills and a proven track record in managing people on a wide range of tasks.

People management experience and budget management experience an advantage.

A strong working knowledge of lean methodology
