Projects will include both those designed by other parties and design/build projects for which the PM will manage the design portion of the project as well as the execution. Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation. 
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques including Earned Value.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all project stakeholders.
  • Perform risk management to minimiz994000.728921e project risks.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
  • Foster and maintain strong working relationships with support staff (estimating, procurement, project controls, scheduling, project admin, document control).
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Manage ETOP process (engineering/equipment turn-over package).
  • Meet with clients on a regular basis to report project status and clarify specific requirements of each project.
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyz994000.728921e the successful completion of short and long-term goals following DPS standards.
  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.
  • Use and continually develop leadership skills.
  • Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs.
  • Report directly to the Director of CM Projects.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management preferred. 
  • 5+ years of experience in life science, pharmaceutical, and/or industrial construction projects required.
  • Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and construction professional alike. 
  • Proven working experience in project management.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid organiz994000.728921ational skills including attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
