Process Department Manager

DPS is currently hiring a Lead Process engineer / Department Manager for our Dublin office. We are seeking a senior process engineer with leadership capabilities and extensive experience in the pharmaceutical/Bio engineering project delivery. A key skill/knowledge in process safety is mandatory.

Key responsibilities:

Managing the process design team >20 pers;

Execute site master planning, concept designs and preliminary engineering phases as European Life Sciences process expert across multiple projects and offices in Mainland Europe;

Assist in development of group systems, procedures, standards and knowledge management;

Prepare and participate in project proposals, man-hour estimating and client presentations;

Participate in presentations at industry conferences and writing of papers in publications. Identify and research future industry trends. Keep on top of technology and industry developments;

Support Business Development for client engagement at senior levels;

To develop, organise and control programmes to eliminate existing or potential process/engineering problems and deliver plant improvements;

Provide technical backup to the operations teams in resolving complex process/plant problems.

Skills & experience required:

A higher technical degree, major in Industrial, process or chemical engineering;

Chartered Engineer

15+ years of relevant and successful experience in an environment with pharmaceutical engineering;

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;

Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills;

Excellent analytic, problem-solving and decision-making skills;

Advanced time management and organisational skills;

Leadership skills, with a view to managing people for project safety, quality and delivery ;

It is important that you can participate in project engineering coordination activities;

You have the following competences: result- and customer-oriented, communication skills, listening and working in a team.
