Over the last 5 Years DPS have made significant progress in the implementation of technology to enable the digitalisation of both back-end processes and core engineering processes to become more efficient and to support the DPS growth strategy. Our digitalisation strategy is an ongoing business strategy and spans the entire Group and is a key pillar of our 5-year plan 2020–2025. The purpose of the role will be to develop and implement the next phase of the digitalisation strategy, enabling leadership at business and project level to make effective decisions based on sound data and information. In this role, you will lead a team and oversee the implementation and maturity of enterprise wide systems (ERP, HR, Knowledge Management, BIM and IT), where appropriate driving change through technology to deliver on the business strategy. The purpose of the role will be to develop and implement the next phase of the digitalisation strategy, enabling leadership at business and project level to make effective decisions based on sound data and information.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Building one Cohesive, Transparent, Value Adding team that will support five-year plan and deliver insight and capability to the group leading to faster and effective decision making
  • Select and implement suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and where possible deliver competitive advantage to DPS.
  • Enhancing the speed and impact of business decisions through digitisation of processes
  • Specify and customise/configure technological systems and platforms to improve User (customer) experience
  • Plan the implementation of new systems and provide guidance to management and other staff within the organisation
  • Approve purchases of technological equipment and software and establish partnerships with providers
  • Oversee the technological infrastructure in conjunction with the IT Group Manager (networks and computer systems) in the organisation to ensure optimal performance
  • Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain competitive advantage
  • Analyse the costs, value and risks of information technology to advise management and suggest actions
  • Driving Business growth through introduction of Digital and IOT technologies
  • Working closely with marketing and HR to provide insight and leadership on digital solutions to promote DPS to potential clients and employees which comply GDPR and custom/practices across our global footprint.

 

Education and Skills:

  • Undergraduate degree Engineering or science related discipline.
  • 15+ years operating at a senior level with deep knowledge of the AEC / Professional services sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to be both strategic and operational
  • Forward-thinking and conceptual, with the ability to execute on the multiple projects concurrently
  • Identify key strategic issues and opportunities for Management Board
  • Develop content and lead the process of developing the Strategic Plan
  • Develop metrics, measuring strategic performance of the plan
  • Support M&A or divestment transactions
  • Challenge business leaders and teams to drive shareholder value
  • Have strong Leadership and Relationship Management skills
  • Have strong communication, listening and influencing skills
  • Experience in leading Change Management
  • Proven track record in Project Management
