Project Manager

Position Summary:

  • DPS Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of projects to agreed scope, schedules, cost and quality for DPS Asia’s based clients.
  • The Asia Project Manager manages the client interface, alongside working with operations disciplines, to ensure work plans meet client needs effectively. The Asia Project Manager also plays a key role in attracting and winning new projects for DPS.
  • Main areas of responsibility include Tool Install and Base build Design; 2D, 3D, BIM Model coordination.
  • The position will be based in Singapore.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Management of assigned projects to agreed scope, cost, schedule and quality. Delivery of project in line with budgeted man hours and margin targets.
  • Creation and execution of project work plans. Revision as appropriate to meet client/project needs.
  • Produce accurate and consistent project reports as per client and operations requirements.
  • Ensure all activities to be in full compliance to Clients Standard Operating Procedures & policies.
  • Resolve any project issues in a timely manner. Escalate urgent issues as required.
  • Review and approve project deliverables with project team members in line with required quality standards.
  • Manage scope like Tool Install and Base build Design 2D, 3D, BIM Model coordination
  • Liaise closely with operations disciplines to determine project resource loading and monitor quality of team member performance. Prepare resource plans in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all project stakeholders are aware of deliverables, project status and key focus areas. Hold regular status meetings with project team.
  • Effectively communicate relevant project information to Central Management.
  • Ensure project invoices issued in a timely manner. Follow through on invoicing through to project completion.
  • Build strong client relationships with a view to establishing long-term, repeat business links. Develop constructive, proactive working relationships.
  • Actively support business development activities, participate in client presentations and generate commercial proposals in response to customer RFQ’s.
  • Support key organisational initiatives including; Core Values, Codes of Practice & CPD.
  • Contribute actively to lessons learned process and other improvement initiatives

 

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 10+ years project management experience managing multidisciplinary design project teams within the semiconductor area. Other industry experience such as pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Medical Devices, Microelectronics O&G or similar will be considered.
  • Strong design background is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Recognised Senior PM with a strong client network and experience with a large Project Management / Engineering organisation.
  • Proven track record  managing (directly) several projects.
  • Leadership in implementing DPS Lean methodologies.
  • PMI qualification or equivalent- an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully win and deliver projects.
  • Familiar with construction contracts and business BKM's.

 

Essential skills:

  • High level of commitment and project ownership. Ability to work as an integrator across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Self-motivated, with proven ability to understand, identify and define project needs in their area with minimal direction.
  • Ability to manage workload of multiple projects of varying complexity.
  • Strong schedule and budget management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, multitasking and communication skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Strong presentation and problem-solving skills.
  • CAD and BIM knowledge is an advantage .

 

Other:

Travel may be required from time to time.
