Project Engineer - Kerry

 

The successful Project Engineer will serve as an integral member of Facility Services Project team in a high specification manufacturing facility. Experience of Process Equipment Projects (Bulk Ingredient Handling) or Utilities Projects (Thermal Reconfiguration project replacing Steam Boilers with Gas Boilers) is a significant advantage.  

 

The Project Engineer will have a minimum of an Engineering Degree with 4+ years’ experience working as a Project Engineer in a Food, Pharmaceutical or equivalent type industry

 

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record to lead projects and influence others, have strong strategic and tactical thinking abilities and be a convincing communicator with strong interpersonal skills.

 

The successful candidate will support and assist the project manager in planning projects and to achieve objectives safely within agreed time, cost and performance criteria.

 

You will have technical knowledge of utilities, equipment, processes and a working knowledge of FDA and EU regulations is preferred

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead projects for facility modifications and capital equipment procurement.

Planning and tracking of activities

Liaise with the various stakeholders on the projects to ensure clear communication between all parties.

Provide technical process support to the project team throughout the project life cycle.

Responsibility for direct supervision of vendor engineers and contractors during engineering works on single or multiple capital projects.

Use of permit to work system or other safety systems to control engineering activities.

Manage capital spend and perform cost benefit analysis.

Participation in HAZOP and design reviews

Generate and review project engineering deliverables such as technical specifications, procurement submittals and vendor turnover documentation
