DPS is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to work with one of our A/EPCM firm within the Albany, NY area. We are seeking a qualified Chemical Engineer with design experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or specialty chemical manufacturing.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Basic and detailed chemical process design engineering activities for the semiconductor, pharmaceutical, and specialty chemical industries.
  • Activity planning, work scheduling, and assigning responsibilities to engineers and piping designers, and monitoring work progress in order to meet schedule and deliverable goals.
  • Develop, or review and approve PFDs, P and IDs, equipment layouts, piping layouts, equipment specifications, and technical reports.
  • Develop, or review and approve design and equipment siz809013.413735ing calculations.
  • Participate in and facilitation of Process Haz809013.413735ards Analysis studies.
  • Coordinate work and team activities with other disciplines, subcontractors, and Clients.
  • Participate in bid manpower and scope development including taking sole responsibility for developing and issuing certain bids.
  • Participate in project cost and schedule estimating.
  • Able and willing to pass a fit test for breathing apparatus to include respirators, filter masks, etc. as required by client safety policies.
  • Able and willing to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety shoes, hard hats, safety glasses, fire retardant clothing, cut resistant gloves, and other PPE as required per the requirements of clients’ safety policies.

 

Qualifications:

  • BS in Chemical Engineering at a minimum preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of design / consulting experience or hands-on field experience performing process design, start up, and production support activities.
  • Experience facilitating (preferred) or participating in Process Haz809013.413735ards Analysis studies.
  • Experience in PLC or distributed control systems including developing sequences of operations and representing process control on P and IDs.
  • Experience managing personnel, especially in the design disciplines.
  • Experience using AutoCAD for drawing review required. Revit and Navisworks is a plus.
  • Experience speaking before an audience of clients and stakeholders.
  • Software: MS Office Suite, MS Project, and AutoCAD. CAESAR II or Pipe Flo is a plus.
