CAD Designer / Project Coordinator 

DPS currently have a requirement for a CAD Designer / Project Coordinator with a Cavan based Manufcaturing Client. The position will be offered on an initial 6 Month contract but has potential to lead to a long term role onsite.  

Primary Function / Goals / Objectives

  • This role will report to the engineering manager and be responsible to create and maintain site drawings associated with equipment, facilities, process, and electrical. This role will be for those interested in starting a technical career in a highly automated manufacturing site and/or those with a passion for CAD.
  • Primary role will be to develop and maintain as built drawings for manufacturing site using as-builts by original manufacturers or self
  • Document drawings changes made by engineering, manufacturing/maintenance
  • Determines the accuracy of all drawings and initiates corrections when discrepancies are found.
  • Acts as a technical resource when site drawings must be reviewed.

Major Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate drawings
  • Develop and maintain accurate drawing file storage system

Education Required:

  • Desired Level 7 certification in technical discipline OR Level 6 with sufficient experience

Knowledge

  • 6-12+ months CAD experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to read diagrams
  • Good mental ability to logically follow a line of though for problem solving.
  • Computer Skills
