DPS is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Principal Process Engineer with a strong understanding of the engineering lifecycle related to facility design and construction in clean room, laboratories, biotech, pharma, and life sciences industries. This position is located in North Carolina.

 

This is a full time position with an excellent salary and benefits package.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles, engineering lifecycle related to process design.
  • Work directly with lead engineers to oversee and manage projects for Biotech Pharmaceutical and other potential clients.
  • Must to be familiar with HAZOPs and have dealt with haz108343.158298ardous chemicals.
  • Experience with API and small molecule design facilities highly preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge with P and IDs, PFDs, mass balances, energy balances, and other engineering calculation understanding and development required.
  • Knowledge of CIP, SIP, processes utilities/equipment design and specifications is preferred.
  • Ability to coordinate and interact effectively with other disciplines such as MEP, Architecture, etc.
  • Identifying deliverables, defining requirements, and creating design documents.
  • Develop technical specifications and layouts while working in tandem with project managers, vendors and engineers across multiple disciplines.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • 8+ years of process engineering experience involving: API, chemical processing, cell culture, upstream and downstream purification, Single Use Technology, and multiple use technology.
  • Previous experience working in the Chemical/Biotech/Pharma industry.
  • Strongly motivated, well organiz108343.158298ed, and shows professional initiative.
  • Takes ownership of assignments, can work both independently and as part of the team.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment.
  • Excellent organiz108343.158298ation skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
