Document Controller (Junior)

DPS Cork are currently hiring a Document Controller to work in our Cork office based in Little Island. The Document Control Department plays a key role in the delivery of DPS’s multi-disciplinary projects. The Document Controller is responsible for ensuring all documentation and drawings are up to date and at the correct revision. The Document Controller will also support project personnel with all aspects of Document Control. The Document Control Junior will be trained on departmental systems and procedures in order to understand departmental processes and deliverables.

Key responsibilities:
•    Project Set up on Document Management System & Set up Project Distribution Matrix
•    Coping / generation of master copies of drawings and any additional copy that may be required.
•    Maintaining / ordering of printer supplies & paper when requested and any general stationery requirements within Doc Control.
•    Generating / issuing of documentation to clients using Document Management System and complying with current procedures in place.
•    Chasing outstanding documentation when required.
•    Training on other departmental tasks will be provided once the candidate is proficient with the initial tasks of this position.
Assist Document Control Lead to coordinate Project H/O Packages in accordance with client procedures
•    Liaising with clients, vendors and contractors to deliver completed project handover documentation to client specifications

Education & experience:
•    Leaving Certificate completed.
•    Experience and/or qualification in administration (certificate/diploma level).

Essential skills:
•    Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. Access knowledge an advantage but not essential.
•    Ability to work on own and as part of a team.
•    Good organisational and communication skills.
•    Strong attention to detail.
•    Able to work to strict deadlines under pressure at times.
•    Good at multi-tasking.
