Job - Senior Construction Manager

A requirement currently exists for an experienced Construction Manager with a proven pedigree in pharmaceutical/medical device projects accustomed to working in high specification environments. 

This role requires experience of Pharmaceutical /Biopharmaceutical construction on sites, safety requirements, together with technical understanding. Planning and co-ordination is key to the success of this role, and it will be necessary to interface with clients. 

The successful Construction Manager will have a minimum of 10 years site experience, minimum of 5 years experience in pharma. 

 

Duties:

Knowledge/experience and good technical ability with an engineering qualification (or equivalent)

Good planning ability to co-ordinate activities, at an interfunctional level

Excellent ability to read drawings, planning and understand site requirements

Be familiar with the Specification and technical submissions, Ensure operatives are qualified and trained, lead constructability reviews and coordination effort

Excellent communication skills are required, to deal with clients in a professional manner

Be a leading member of the team leading by example and monitoring and controlling safety on site

Ensure Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Permits and daily SPA/TSRAs are prepared, communicated and adhered to

Arrange/attend and lead coordination meetings

Manage Quality Control of projects including quality of the installation, check workmanship and correct and issues, carry out quality control through inspections and snagging

Experienced in coordination of subcontractors, control programme with preparation of look ahead programmes to facilitate the successful completion of the works on time

Commercially aware of contractual undertakings and their implications
