DPS is currently seeking to hire an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to join our multi-disciplined team working on exciting projects at our Leiden office. Are you an electrical/instrumentation engineer, capable of undertaking tasks independently on a project, reporting to the project electrical and instrumentation lead? You should have experience of working on the entire design process (Basis of design, Detailed design, Construction Support) with between 5 and 10 years’ experience. Key responsibilities

  • Writes scope of work for electrical design based on preliminary review and meetings with the client
  • Prepares engineering studies and schematic design for new systems and analyz842935.845606es operation of existing systems
  • Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents (preferred but not essential)
  • Creates specializ842935.845606ed drawings such as electrical single line diagrams
  • Researches design options and documents findings for Project Designer/Engineer
  • Assures that drawings and designs are in accordance with company production and design standards
  • Interacts with other Departments and disciplines including: Process / HVAC / Piping / EHS / Automation / C&Q / Procurement

 

Skills & experience required

Ideally candidates should have the following attributes:

  • Minimum of 3 years' of relevant electrical experience in a pharmaceutical environment,
  • 3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • Preferably with expertise in computer engineering design programs and computer aided drafting (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)
  • General knowledge of electrical system design and applicable codes, in particular NEN1010 and NEN3140
  • Preferred experience of electrical building services
  • MS office computer skills
  • Preferred Dutch/English bilingual ability
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Flexible, driven team player with good interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude
  • Result-oriented, customer-focused
