DPS is seeking an accomplished Automation professional to support a pharmaceutical client in the Boston, MA area.  The ideal candidate should have previous pharmaceutical or biotech knowledge.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Expected to develop and implement an automation roadmap based on organiz253319.947576ational requirements and industry best practices. This will include balancing the long-term goals for the manufacturing organiz253319.947576ation against the short-term needs.
  • Individual will be part of an experienced team of engineers working closely with groups such as manufacturing, IS, quality assurance, quality control and validation.
  • Must have previous experience managing a team of engineers and contractors.
  • Responsible for setting goals, establishing priorities, and ensuring resources are properly allocated.
  • Routinely represent team in client interactions throughout the client project lifecycle.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Electrical, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in the biotech engineering/manufacturing environment with automation systems with pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience with systems such as ESXi, Syncade, OSI PI, Infobatch and Labwatch.
  • xperience with DCS and/or PLC coding including but not limited to DeltaV, Allen Bradley, and Siemens.
  • Experience with people or project management with an ability to set goals and direction for others.
  • Candidate must also have the capability to define and set technical direction for the automation team and systems.
  • Understanding of electrical standards and local requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills; written and oral.
  • Strong technical documentation review and revision experience.
  • DCS/PLC/Automation system installation and support knowledge.
  • Working with both hands-on and remote based staff.
  • Comfortable supporting multiple concurrent issues.
