E & I Engineer

 

Reporting to the Project Manager the E&I Engineer will serve as an integral member of Facility Services Project team in the manufacturing facility.

 

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record to supervise the electrical works on large scale projects and influence others, have strong strategic and tactical thinking abilities and be a convincing communicator with strong interpersonal skills.

 

The successful E&I Engineer will support and assist the project manager in planning projects and to achieve objectives safely within agreed time, cost and performance criteria.

 

 

Duties:

Coordinate and participate in design, construction and Commissioning activities.

Supervise E&I installation and commissioning works on Capital projects.

Planning and tracking of activities.

Liaise with the various stakeholders on the projects to ensure clear communication between all parties.

Provide technical process support to the project team throughout the project life cycle.

Responsibility for direct supervision of engineers and contractors during engineering works on single or multiple capital projects.

Use of permit to work system or other safety systems to control engineering activities.

Participation in HAZOP and design reviews.

Generate and review project engineering deliverables such as technical specifications, procurement submittals and vendor turnover documentation.

The E&I Engineer has scope to initiate process, cost and continuous improvement ideas.

 

Required:

Minimum of an Engineering Degree with 5+ years’ experience working as a project engineer in a Bio-Pharmaceutical or equivalent type industry.

Demonstrated experience in leading projects from Design to Commissioning.

Technical knowledge of Electrical and Instrumentation including all regulatory requirements.
