Summary:

 

DPS Engineering is looking for a EH&S Lead to assist with a BioPharma client of ours in the Boston, MA area. This individual would be engaged to ensure that the EH&S elements from the client side are adhered to and intertwined into the design of a multi-million dollar project.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead complex or particularly high haz856800.57816ard Risk Assessment using process haz856800.57816ard evaluation techniques such as What If, HAZOP, FMEA etc. to support site EHS and Engineering deliverables.
  • Act as Lead EHS representative to assigned project to provide EHS Safety Engineering formal review at Concept, BOD, Detailed Design, and ORR project stages.
  • Review and provide EHS input on typical project documents including process diagrams, P&IDs, equipment specifications, design drawings, etc.
  • Lead or supports Incident Investigation and/or Root Cause Analysis, for particularly technically complex or high haz856800.57816ard incidents, providing support to site EHS and site management injury prevention programs.
  • Help ensure ongoing improvements in this process to deliver compliance with environment, health and safety regulations on client projects.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in chemical engineering, engineering, chemistry, biology or other science areas, or environmental, safety, or industrial hygiene.
  • 5+ years of experience in Risk Management, including developing and implementing EHS risk management programs in biotech/pharma.
  • Strong understanding of Chemical and Biological commercial (GMP and non-GMP) and laboratory operations.
  • Experience working around construction projects.
  • Familiarity with typical project documents including process diagrams, P&IDs, equipment specifications, design drawings, etc.
  • Qualification in Process Haz856800.57816ard Analysis, including one or more of HAZOP, What If, PrHA, FMEA.
  • Applied knowledge and understanding of EHS principles and practices, regulatory standards, and requirements in context of business activities.
  • Well-developed skills in leadership, communication, program development and project management.
