Summary:

 

DPS Engineering is currently seeking a Process/Project Engineer to support a client in the NH area.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Prepare and review project scope packages and formal engineering design packages for capital projects.
  • Review and develop process and equipment engineering packages and prepare reports.
  • Must have experience in designing process systems, developing process flow diagrams (PFDs), developing piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), writing equipment and control specifications, performing system optimiz270290.538724ation activities,  and the basic concepts of performing process material and energy balances.  
  • Specify and design ancillary equipment, valves, and instrumentation required to operate purchased or leased process development equipment.
  • Coordinate and execute the installation of process development equipment by working with Production, Facilities, and Subcontractors.
  • Siz270290.538724e fabricated equipment and piping, prepare sketches and information for mechanical design and drawings for fabricated equipment; review all drawings and specifications; prepare sketches and/or supervise the preparation of piping drawings and specifications for fabrication.
  • Determine equipment and parts to be purchased and prepare bid lists.  Establish scope of engineering services, define documentation requirements and provide input for project schedules.  Prepare specifications for equipment and subcontracted services.  Solicit bids, review responses, negotiate terms and prepare purchase orders.
  • Resolve equipment and/or process skid fabrication issues with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors. 
  • Provide start-up and commissioning support including, installation management and supervision, IQ/OQ/PQ, and operator training.

 

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

  • Bachelors and/or Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of Process Design and Project Engineering experience.
  • Must have previous GMP and capital projects knowledge.
  • Knowledge of chemical engineering principles along with being familiar with the mechanisms of operation, installation, & performance qualification of reactors, work-up equipment, & drying equipment.
  • Experience designing, siz270290.538724ing, and specifying batch reactors, heat exchangers, vapor-liquid separators, filtration equipment, dryers, solids siz270290.538724ing and classifying equipment, distillation equipment, pumps, and tanks is preferred.
