Summary:

 

DPS is looking for a proven and experienced Project Controls professional to support a pharmaceutical client in the Boston, MA area. This individual will develop the project funding documents, lead budget, schedule and change management activities, cost and schedule risk analysis as well as cash flow analysis.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Fully integrate schedule containing all necessary activities.
  • Risk assessment, mitigation plans and risk owners in place.
  • Transfer the Project estimate into the Control Budget and incorporate into the Project cost management system (CPM) in accordance with the Work Breakdown Structure.
  • Facilitates the Change Management program by preparing Cost Trends, Budget Adherence reports and Change Orders for review. Assess impact of change on overall Project Cost and Schedule.
  • Monitor and evaluate the day to day incurred cost (committed costs) against the budget for each Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and insure that they are correctly linked and booked to each corresponding Cost Code or Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
  • Project earned value systems and accurate earned progress data in place.
  • Schedule progress analyses/critical path analysis completed.
  • Cost reporting including owner costs and contingency forecasting in place.
  • Budget figures for procurement of equipment and services prepared.
  • Provide support to project manager by leading estimate and schedule reviews.
  • Evaluate engineer/contractors physical progress.
  • Monitor project schedules and cash flow against plan and report deviations.
  • Create accurate cost forecasts for remaining work.
  • Lead the closeout of contracts and purchase orders with procurement.
  • Lead risk analysis reviews for cost estimates, cost forecasts and schedules.
  • Establish baseline metrics for benchmarking.

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, Business or equivalent level of industry based experience.
  • 7+ years’ of experience in a similar position.
  • Technically strong in project cost planning, scheduling and reporting.
  • Knowledge in the use of MS Project or Primavera software is necessary.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • An ability to deal with process change and implement new effective processes.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and excellent attention to detail are required.
