DPS is looking for a capable Reliability Engineer to work with a pharmaceutical client in the Boston, MA area. Ideal candidates should have a strong understanding of GMPs and experience providing engineering oversight in pharmaceutical/biotech facilities. This individual will be responsible for the evaluation and implementation of reliability protocols and programs as well as putting those systems together to ensure both efficiency and operation.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Implement reliability maintenance program improvements for the assets under their responsibility, making maintenance budget and spares recommendations and may have maintenance budget spending responsibilities.
  • Conduct Failure Modes and Effect Analysis (FMEA) on equipment to identify and address high risk failure modes
  • Asset Equipment Management on site Utility/Facility systems.
  • Ensure set up maintenance tracking system as well as spare parts inventory.
  • Ensure equipment remains in operational state and limit downtime.
  • Conduct failure analysis to identify root-cause of equipment reliability issues and facilitate the implementation of preventative actions to address issues.
  • Provide reliability maintenance input into engineering design to create designs which minimiz728150.790838e lifecycle costs.
  • Develop procedures and specifications for the reliability maintenance aspects of existing and new equipment and help identify the work content of planned shutdowns.
  • Work with maintenance supervisors and technicians to ensure that a reliability based approach is adopted in maintenance activities.
  • Ensure the use and understanding of predictive maintenance techniques.

 

Skills & Education

  • Degree or diploma in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical engineering or similar field.
  • Significant experience gained in a reliability maintenance environment with understanding of equipment reliability principles.
  • Maintenance of process/utility equipment is essential.
  • Must have previous experience working within a GMP manufacturing environment. Biologics is preferred.
  • Proven technical capabilities and understanding of maintenance work processes and the interfaces with other functional groups.
  • Strong team skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of CMMS and/or reliability software tools.
