Summary:

 

DPS Engineering is looking for an accomplished Senior MEP (Utilities) Engineer to work with a BioPharma client in the Boston, MA area. Ideal candidates should have a strong understanding of GMPs and experience providing Engineering support in highly regulated or pharmaceutical/biotech facilities.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Own and oversee the design for the Mechanical-Electrical-Plumbing (MEP) portion of a major capital expansion project.
  • Act as owner representative for MEP areas in all design stages (Basis of Design, Detailed Design, FAT), construction phases, commissioning phases and qualification phases through to handover to internal client.
  • Responsible through collaboration with internal clients, the gathering and documenting of user requirements and ensuring that the user requirements are integrated into the MEP design.
  • Responsible for executing and leading interactive 3D reviews with internal clients through the design phases and having internal client approval.
  • Responsible as system owner in ensuring the design has been constructed in accordance with project standards, specifications and URS.
  • Will be commissioning system owner of systems to ensure they are commissioned per project specs, standards and end-user needs.
  • Support the qualification phases including deviation resolution, protocol approvals and final client training.
  • Travel to FAT, vendor inspections, Architectural/Engineering office as required and dictated by project needs.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 7+ years’ relevant pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Must be able to work under general direction to plan, coordinate, and ensure completion of engineering team deliverables.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills required.
  • Participates in determining objectives of assignment and plans, schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing milestone achievements.
