Purpose of Role

Review demand and ensure the supply of all packaging and/or raw materials required for production (MRP) maintaining agreed stock levels

Co-ordinate Contract Packing Operations; maintaining supplier schedule, purchase order maintenance, bulk availability, freight management

Ensure appropriate supplier relationship management (SRM): involving leading business review meetings (BRM); liaising with suppliers, internal customers and key stakeholders

Provide regular cover for the Planning team in any of the following areas; Materials Planning, Edition Code Control, Rhodes scheduling, Production scheduling, Re-schedule support, UK Wholesaler co-ordination.

Support Continuous Improvement initiatives

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Process, administrate and expedite purchase orders for raw material, packaging items and contract packing on Oracle ERP system

Analyse demand data and  follow up any actions; for raw materials, printed/non-printed packaging using data originating from the Rhythm planning software

Review and co-ordinate packaging items undergoing an edition code change, liaising with Packaging Artwork team to release updated master packaging documents (MPD)

Review and understand Controlled Drug licencing and reporting requirements for Raw Materials ensuring completion in a timely manner

Update and issue monthly demand schedules for key suppliers and production plans

Co-ordinate or participate in business review meetings (BRM), coordinating meetings, agenda, minutes, data review

Collect and analyse data for SRM measures e.g. OTIF reporting

Using Oracle ERP system conduct batch maintenance, establish and review planning rules as require

Liaise with other departments as necessary in order to meet the schedules and ‘trouble shoot’ production or supply issues as necessary.

Identify any stock which due to expiry or superseded edition needs to be stock written off (SWO); initiate internal process for stock to be removed and provide reports as required

Assist in the reschedule process as defined by the Production Planning Manager

Create and analyse demand data and present key findings, impacts and proposals

Anything else in support of the business objectives as directed by the Production Planning Manager.
