DPS Group Discuss Expansion Plans for Scandinavia with An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar

3 October 2019

DPS Group’s Joe Kane, Director Dublin Operations, and Eddie Bolger, Senior Project Manager, had the pleasure of meeting with An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and had an opportunity to discuss DPS Group and our expansion plans for Scandinavia at the Irish Embassy in Stockholm.

In 2018, DPS Group was awarded a major contract from the global pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca to provide Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management and Validation (EPCMV) services for small and medium sized projects on AstraZeneca’s pharmaceutical site in Södertälje, Sweden. The contract extends across two AstraZeneca sites, Snäckviken and Gärtuna.

As a result of winning this contract, DPS Group established operations in Sweden, which was used initially to service AstraZeneca exclusively, but later to service other clients in Sweden.

DPS currently have over 40 personnel working under the AstraZeneca Framework Agreement and it is expected that over 100 DPS engineering personnel potentially will be working on AstraZeneca projects by 2020, based on current projected capital expenditure levels – both Irish and local employees.

Many thanks to our host Ambassador and Enterprise Ireland.
