As President of US Project Operations, Aidan is charged with providing strategic leadership to guide DPS expansion in the U.S. through development and acquisition. He brings more than 22 years of biotech and pharmaceutical industry experience, having previously served as the Senior Vice President of Operations for DPS in Framingham, Mass., since 2011, when the firm opened its first U.S. life sciences division through the acquisition of BioMetics.
Aidan has held other senior management positions with DPS before relocating to the US and was responsible for the delivery of capital projects ranging in value from $10 – $100 million for clients such as Pfizer, Merck, GSK, Eli Lilly and Janssen across various geographic locations, including Ireland, the United Kingdom, Holland and Belgium. Before joining DPS, Aidan held senior project management positions with a number of global blue-chip pharmaceutical firms, where he played key roles in the delivery of capital projects ranging from $150 – $350 million.
As Senior Vice President of Albany Project Operations, Michael leads the Albany office’s strategic direction for continued growth to expand its client base and drive project operations improvements.
Michael’s experience as an engineering team leader spans more than 25 years and across the areas of advanced technology manufacturing, process industries, science and research, data centers, and education. His expertise and leadership focus on delivering quality, innovative solutions for all aspects of project delivery from site selection, master-planning, programming through detailed design, and construction administration.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Stuttgart and a Master of Science in energy systems engineering from the University of Arizona. He is a registered professional engineer (PE), a LEED Accredited Professional, a member of ASHRAE and ASPE, and is an NCEES Record Holder.
Marianne has over 15 years’ experience in commissioning & qualification of major pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical facilities across a number of sectors; sterile manufacturing, solid dosage and small molecule API facilities. Marianne has in-depth knowledge of the ASTM E-2500 verification process and has managed the implementation on various projects and has helped clients develop risk based strategies for commissioning and verification of new and upgraded development and manufacturing facilities.
Michael Bocchini is an industry Leader with more than 25 years of biotech, pharmaceutical and chemical industry experience. Previously he worked with leading Engineering & Life Sciences divisions where he has led the Commissioning, Qualification and Validation functions. At DPS Mike has responsibility for Technical Services Operations and P&L out of our New Jersey office, supporting pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical service companies. Mike Bocchini has a very successful track record in running and growing businesses directly relevant to the sectors in which DPS operates. As VP of Operations, he executes a key role in the expansion of our Technical Services business both through organic development and acquisition.
Joe has over 40 years’ experience in high tech industries including Semiconductors, Pharmaceutical/Bio facilities and Nuclear Decommissioning. He has executed or sponsored international projects for previous employers and DPS in the USA, Ireland, France, Italy, Switzerland and Germany.
Areas of expertise include programme management, commercial contracts, procurement, project management, high purity engineering, design and construction operations. Joe was formerly Operations Director for DPS Dublin operations and implemented the “Centre of Excellence” delivery model for European Pharma/Bio projects executed from the Dublin office.
Joe has also held senior commercial management positions for major Portfolio and investment Programmes in the UK’s Defence and Commercial Nuclear industry.
An SME in A/E multi discipline operations and commercial management, Joe holds qualified membership to the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Chartered Institute of Procurement, Institute of Directors and Project Management Professional status from the PMI.
Mark White is a lead engineer with over 21 years experience working in the chemical, pharmaceutical and related industries. Mark has combined management, production site and design office experience and has significant breadth and depth of experience across key process engineering activities. He has a particular interest in containment, process safety and EU directive compliance, and is a key technical expert with in DPS in these and other areas. Mark is a Chartered member of the Institute of Chemical Engineers and the DPS member of the DIERS User Group.
In his role as Senior Vice President, Boston Project Operations Paul leads the strategic direction and continued growth of the Boston office, with a focus on expanding its client base and driving project operations improvements. He is responsible for sales and marketing of DPS Boston’s services including architectural and engineering design; commissioning, qualification and validation (CQV); and construction management.
Paul brings more than 30 years of experience in the design, engineering management, and construction management of pharmaceutical and biotechnology capital projects, and his expertise spans both project leadership and business leadership roles.
Paul offers proven leadership skills in the overall responsibility and execution of complex life sciences projects in areas that include client liaison; project execution plans and scheduling; estimating and budgets; directing execution of engineering, design, procurement, construction, and start-up; and commercial and financial stewardship of projects.
Richard is a Senior Lean Construction Productivity Manager with DPS. Richard has over 20 years’ experience in the global Semiconductor High Volume Manufacturing and Construction Sectors completing Project Management, Systems Design and Lean Program Implementation.
Richard has significant experience in lean principles implementation of productivity systems and structure for manufacturing and construction as well as extensive experience in developing productivity improvement systems to reduce waste and eliminate impacts from design through to commissioning for large capital projects.
Richard is author of a number of papers on ‘People Development’ and has published his own book on goal setting and problem solving techniques for new managers. Richard has developed Trade productivity improvement systems such as the Daily Milestone tracker (DMT), Constraint Log Implementation and Last Planner® for tracking and managing large scale project progress.
Pat is a Senior Pharmaceutical engineer with a focus in the area of small molecule API facility process design. Pat is recognised as one of the industry leading peers in his area with over 25 years’ experience in design and implementation of complex chemical API facility projects. He has comprehensive expertise in all aspects of API process facilities including reactors, crystallisers, high containment facilities, vacuum systems, centrifuges, dryers and tank farms.
Pat’s experience covers concept, front end engineering and full project design and implementation and is in demand as a peer reviewer for large API projects. Over the last 5 years Pat has been actively engaged in emerging technologies for global pharmaceutical clients. Technologies include nano-milling, continuous reactor design, semi-continuous centrifugation and drying, continuous granulation.
Carl Bradbury leads the Construction Management division for the DPS Boston, MA USA office. He brings over 20 years of experience in project construction management, scheduling, budget management, quality standards, safety management, contract reviews, pre-construction, and development of scopes of work. He is highly skilled in coordination of all direct trade labor, material procurement, subcontractor administration, safety, and client relations. Carl’s experience is primarily focused on pharmaceutical and biotechnology projects; and has worked on significant semiconductor, chemical, industrial, and food industry projects. He also holds a Massachusetts Construction Supervisor Licence (CSL).
Jimmy is a Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Manager with DPS. He has over 15 years’ experience in the development and execution of VDC processes throughout the entire Project Life Cycle. Jimmy has a depth of experience in utilising the latest VDC tools / applications and combining the latest BIM technologies to deliver value to clients in the form of reduced costs, increased quality, and shortened schedules on projects. His experience covers the integration through VDC of multiple project activities including design, cost planning, scheduling / construction sequencing, space coordination / constructability, logistics planning, prefabrication and asset management. As well as developing tools and metrics to visualise, analyse, and evaluate project performance. Jimmy has extensive experience in Building Information Modelling (BIM) and the integration of information from multiple disciplines and project phases into a common multi-dimensional model including the development of data exchange and management protocols.
Alain is an experienced professional with a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering and Master of Business Administration, with over 20+ years’ broad working experience at managerial level in maintenance, business development and strategic and general management.
Ambitious, result-oriented, reliable and independent with good negotiating and inter-personal skills, strong problem-solving and leadership capabilities, while being a valued team player; experience with commercial and procurement management.
Robert brings more than 30 years of professional experience in engineering, facility operations, construction, and project management to his role at DPS Group. As senior vice president of project operations for the firm’s new Cary, North Carolina office, Robert works closely with a dedicated team of engineers, architects, and construction professionals to deliver successful projects for clients. His extensive engineering experience includes process engineering, controls, automation, validation and qualification, manufacturing operations, and engineering management.
In addition to his engineering background, Robert also has 15 years of project management experience working from both the owner and consultant perspectives for projects ranging from small capital projects to $100 million greenfield expansions. With experience working within the U.S. and across Europe and Asia, Robert’s expertise spans the life sciences, food and beverage, and chemical industries.
Ger O’Sullivan has 20+ years’ experience in the Architectural, Engineering and Construction sector working in a variety of roles. He specialises on the technical aspects of project delivery, supporting design teams using a wide array of tools. He is highly motivated and a self-starter. He is passionate about the technology and ensures that DPS are aware of current research trends and future developments.
Executive responsible for successful delivery of multiple large complex projects with combined estimated value $3.5Billion in the last 6 years across the USA. Leading project execution improvements, driving consistency throughout the organization and developing a strong results-driven culture. Projects range from Advance Technology Facilities, Pharmaceutical Projects, Manufacturing Facilities, Utility Buildings, Office Buildings to General Construction Projects. International experience working in locations such as South Africa, Malaysia, Germany, Taiwan, China and America. Strong business acumen and skilled strategist who transforms strategies into workable project execution models measured against Key Performance Indicators with proven success. Experienced in Collaborate Project Delivery, including BIM (Building Information Modeling), Lean Design and Construction execution with proven efficiency results. Exceptional communication skills including client relations and Business Development capabilities.
Mike Cushen is head of Operations for Contract Services in Ireland. Mike has worked with DPS for over eight years, initially as Contract Services Manager in Cork, prior to taking on the Ireland role. Qualified in Languages and International Marketing, Mike has over 20 years’ experience in the recruitment industry supporting the Pharmaceutical, Life Science, and Medical Device sectors including executive search. Mike and his team deliver technically qualified and experienced staff to industry and also provide the resources to support the ongoing growth of DPS
Yossi Croitoru is the Director of DPS’ Israel Operation. Yossi graduated with a MBA on Organizational management. His 20 years of experience includes a variety of roles within the semiconductor industry – Industrial Engineer, Project Manager, Capacity and Layout management and Automation systems design. Areas of expertise include Business Development, Program Management, Layout and Micro-Layout, Capacity Analysis, End to End Supply Chain , Scheduling, Maintenance and Management. He has worked across a variety of other industries including Microelectronics and Agrochemical, throughout Israel, USA, LATAM, Europe and Asia.
Yousuff Jakkariya is the Director of Singapore Operations. Yousuff graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering honours degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering and Master of Science in Health Sciences Management. His vast experience spans a variety of roles leading and managing cross-functional teams covering the installation, testing, commissioning, qualification, validation phases of greenfield and brownfield capital/ expense projects and maintenance of equipment. Yousuff’s areas of expertise include capital & expense project management, strategic and portfolio management, continuous improvement and simplification, maintenance and repair spending optimization and process safety management. He has worked across a variety of industries including manufacturing process, oil and gas, water and wastewater, pharmaceutical packaging, biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical solution and medical device sectors.
As Vice President, Business Development, Eddie is responsible for expanding the firm’s client base and leading the sales and marketing of DPS services in the Boston office, including architectural and engineering design; commissioning, qualification and validation (CQV); and construction management. Eddie brings more than 18 years of industry experience in a variety of roles in the life sciences, oil and gas, chemical, power, manufacturing, and electronics industries. Starting off his career in engineering before moving into project management, Eddie has become a strong client advocate, having served in roles for owner-side project management as well as architecture/engineering (A/E) design team project management on a variety of project types at DPS. His technical expertise comprises instrumentation and control systems engineering, construction management, and CQV, and his engineering career has given him a depth of hands-on experience and understanding of all discipline trades from project ideation through qualification. Eddie has broad experience with greenfield and brownfield projects, having worked on refurbishment and expansion projects as well as new facilities. Eddie is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and holds a Master Certificate in Project Management from Villanova University and a Bachelor of Science, with Honors, in Applied Physics and Instrumentation from Cork Institute of Technology in Ireland. He is a member of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) and the Project Management Institute (PMI).
Ben is a seasoned business development and sales professional with more than 25 years of experience in the AEC industry. He brings extensive knowledge of the Southeastern U.S. and Research Triangle Park marketplace within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors, supporting clients in their quest to deliver meaningful research and development and scale-up manufacturing processes. Ben has a demonstrated history of technical problem-solving and client responsiveness, providing value to clients who place trust in him to deliver solutions that meet their needs. His accomplishments also include process and project optimizations for many manufacturing sites throughout the Southeast.
Mike Sheehan has extensive international experience working with multinational clients, focused on developing and implementing strategic projects to drive business performance. As a senior project manager for DPS, Boston, MA, USA office, Mike serves as a primary contact working closely with our clients and internal teams to ensure project objectives are achieved. He’s a natural networker who cultivates lasting relationships and collaborates with multicultural teams to realize long-term opportunities. Mike also has strong analytical and problem-solving skills, applied in understanding and solving complex challenges.
With over 20 years’ experience in the industry; Specializing in delivery of complex projects in the Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Brewery and Beverage Industries. Eddie held roles as Operations Manager, Project Manager, Construction Manager, Design Manager, Commissioning Manager and Consultant, providing him with a solid base for the management of large scale EPCMV projects.
Marybeth Park brings over 30 years of experience in management and administration within the Procurement and Contracts field, and is a highly creative, problem-solving, goal-oriented professional. Based in our Boston, MA USA office, Marybeth is extremely organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet a client’s deadlines and budgets. She possesses a strong work and business ethic combined with a commitment to excellence in all projects undertaken, in addition to effective managerial skills and interaction with personnel.
In his role as Senior Vice President, Philadelphia Project Operations, Ryan leads the strategic direction and continued growth of the Philadelphia office, with a focus on expanding its client base and driving project operations improvements. He is responsible for sales and marketing of DPS Philadelphia’s services, including architectural and engineering design, commissioning, qualification, and validation (CQV), and construction management.
Ryan has over 20 years of EPCMV project delivery experience in the life science and related high-tech sectors and almost 20 years at CRB, most recently as the biotech market business unit lead where he provided strategic direction in addition to developing and executing annual growth plans for the division.
Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Delaware and is a registered professional engineer (PE) in five states. He is a member of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) and the Bio Industry Organization (BIO). Ryan serves as an active board member for the Joel A. Gingras Foundation.
Dara is a Mechanical Engineer, PMP certified Project Manager, and Operations Director with 25 years’ experience in Engineering Design and Project Management primarily in the Pharmaceutical industry. He is currently the Director of Operations for DPS Group’s Dublin Operation. He was previously based in the US in DPS Boston, MA and Albany, NY where he managed a portfolio of Biotech and Novel Therapeutic-projects.
Prior to his US-based roles he managed several multi-disciplined projects from DPS Dublin, including a placement in Pfizer Grange Castle in Dublin. In Pfizer, he held the role of head of the outsourced DPS Project Engineering Managed Services Group where he managed a multi-disciplinary site-based team in the execution of capital projects. He has previously worked for CH2MHill and Project Management Ltd. (PM) and worked on projects for a wide range of Irish, US, and European based clients.
He has extensive site-based Project Management experience having performed multiple site-based client roles.
Martijn Timmer has over 10 years’ experience in engineering and project management. He has a background in Aerospace Engineering but worked most of his career in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. Martijn worked as a senior Project Manager with a strong execution record delivering highly complex large projects both in the Netherlands and abroad. He built a successful track record due to a focus on operational excellence and sound technical understanding. Martijn is a true team player who is capable of getting the most out of his team members. His clear communication and structured approach keep his team focused on the desired end result. His leadership skills, combined with an open attitude, make him an inspiring manager, both for the Operation and within his project teams.
In 2020, Deborah Willems joined DPS as the Operations Manager for Contract Services Belgium. Deborah has a background in clinical psychology and scientific research, but switched to a sales position in pharma which she fulfilled for several years. In the 5 years prior to joining DPS, she gained extensive experience in recruitment, account management and operations/supplier management in the life sciences industry for global organizations.
Deborah and her team support clients in the entire life sciences industry by delivering higher technical profiles whilst also providing the resources to support the growth of the internal Belgian DPS team.
Art is the Operations Director for DPS Group’s office in Cork and has over 30 years’ experience in Manufacturing and Project Delivery environments.
He has successfully and safely managed large projects and regional programs from business case analysis/approval, through all stages of project execution, to handover of a fully functioning commercial asset.
Prior to joining DPS Group in 2019, Art worked extensively with GlaxoSmithKline, Jacobs and Schering Plough. During his time with GSK, Art worked as a Project Director leading a team of GSK Project Managers in the execution of a portfolio of projects across numerous Primary, Secondary, Biopharmaceutical and Consumer Health sites in the UK, mainland Europe & Ireland.As a Senior Project Manager with Jacobs, Art lead and managed multi-discipline, multi-office engineering teams in the execution of small and large capital projects up to >$250M.
Art also worked with Schering Plough as a team lead in their Biotech facility where, during a period of significant growth, established and led an engineering team to operate and maintain key production plant, utilities and critical environmental systems in an FDA/cGMP/EPA regulated environment.
Scott Dedon is Director of Operations for DPS Group in Oregon and is highly skilled in leading cross-functional project teams to administer, manage, and execute engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) projects. Scott graduated with two Engineering degrees and a minor in Business Administration from the University of the Pacific.
His 20 years’ experience has spanned a variety of roles within the aerospace, biomedical, and semiconductor industries.
He has lived and worked in multiple countries throughout his career in Europe, Asia, and North America and volunteers with Habitat for Humanity constructing local homes and Potluck in the Park every Sunday feeding the working poor and homeless in downtown Portland.
Caroline Roeleveld became Operations Manager of Contract Services, The Netherlands in January 2021. Caroline has worked for DPS since 2018 as a recruitment specialist and more recently business manager before being promoted to her current role. Prior to joining DPS Caroline gained 7 years’ experience working in the pharmaceutical and recruitment industry and has recruited for projects in the food, pharma, chemical and oil & gas industries.
Caroline and her team support the Pharmaceutical, Life Science, Food and Oil & Gas industries by attracting engineering consultants in The Netherlands and mainland Europe and supply internal resources to support the growth of DPS.
Laura Cannon is Business Process Manager for Contract Services Europe. Qualified in Law and Human Resources, Laura has extensive experience in the recruitment industry supporting the Pharmaceutical, Life Science, and Medical Device sectors. Laura has worked with DPS for over 15 years and is responsible for the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of the processes, procedures and systems which underpin and support the Contract Services Business Unit in delivering an outstanding talent solutions service to our clients across Europe.
