Eddie Kent

Eddie joined DPS Group in 2001 as Financial Controller and was appointed Finance Director in January 2008. He was promoted to Chief Executive Officer for Europe in 2021. He is a Chartered Accountant having graduated from University College Cork in 1992. Eddie has previously worked in Corporate Finance with a number of Pharmaceutical companies in the UK, Europe and the US and has brought his experience to growing the DPS Group internationally in recent years.

Cathal Farrelly

Cathal Farrelly is the Group Engineering Manager with over 18 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical and related sectors. Cathal has significant exposure across an impressive project and client base. Cathal’s experience covers the entire project cycle from concept, design through to construction, commissioning and start up. He is a highly motivated self-driven individual who will take on projects and assignments with great energy bringing a high degree of technical excellence and an understanding of business needs to every project. In his career Cathal has executed a number of critical projects for GlaxoSmithKline, Janssen, Cara Partners Schering Plough (Brinny) and Stada. Cathal has taken projects from the front end and detailed design through to plant commissioning, validation and Handover.

Alan Shefflin

Alan is the Group Chief Information Officer (CIO) with responsibility for development and delivery of our Digital Strategy. Alan has over 20 years’ experience in IT and Automation in the biopharmaceutical industry with Novartis, Pfizer, Amgen and Bristol Myers Squibb. He has held a variety of technical and managerial roles of increasing responsibility including Senior Automation Manager, Project IT/Automation Director and Director IT Business partner for EU Biologics. Alan graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering and a first class honours master’s degree in industrial engineering both from University College Dublin.

Sue Cooke

Sue is a Principal Biopharma Consultant and Managing Director of the DPS Global Strategic Consulting Group. Sue has over 25 years’ experience in the Biopharmaceutical sector in Ireland, UK, mainland Europe and USA engaged in Consultancy, Project and Program Management. Sue has a depth of experience in the early phase development of Biopharma projects leading feasibility and concept design studies for new facilities as well as extensive experience managing full design and construction project implementation. Her experience covers a broad range of facilities from laboratories, development and manufacturing facility projects in the drug substance and drug product areas, primarily for Biologics and ATMPs.

Barry Weisscher

Mr. Barry Weisscher has over 10 years’ experience as a Consulting Engineer. In his current role as Director Business Development Europe, Barry combines his Technical and Business skills making him the ideal partner to translate clients’ requirements into perfect Technical Design solutions. In previous roles Barry lead multiple disciplinarian engineering departments and projects, these management experiences makes him very suitable to lead large and complex projects.

Having lead multi-disciplinary design teams in Europe and the United States he has gained a large amount of valuable Design and Engineering experience in the fields of Reliable Critical Infrastructures, Sustainable and Energy and efficient Commercial Buildings.

Martin Bannister

Martin joined DPS in January 2018 as Managing Director CS Europe Elect with over 30 years recruitment experience, largely within the technical and engineering sector and has held senior, director level positions focused primarily on sales and new business development for the past 17 years. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals (FIRP)

Diarmuid Leahy

As Global Head of HR Diarmuid is responsible for developing and implementing the DPS HR strategy in partnership with the business. He brings over 35 years’ experience from different industries including the energy, construction and manufacturing sectors. Prior to joining DPS he held the role of Chief People Officer with Glenveagh Properties based in Co. Kildare, Ireland.

Diarmuid returned to Ireland in 2017 from Houston, Texas where he spent over 10 years working for Marathon Oil Corporation. During his time with Marathon Oil Corporation he was responsible for all International HR covering the United Kingdom, Equatorial Guinea, Canada, Libya and Kurdistan.

Diarmuid joined DPS Group in March 2019, as Global Head of Human Resources.

Managing Director, ATG
Kevin Fenton

Kevin is the Manager Director for DPS’ Advanced Technology Group (ATG) across the EMEA, and has worked with the company for over 20 years, having graduated as a mechanical engineer from the Dublin Institute of Technology. Kevin first served as a Project Manager and Construction Manager for several pharmaceutical projects in both Ireland and mainland Europe, before transitioning to ATG where he initially was a program manager and then promoted to Senior Vice President of Operations in DPS’ Albany, NY office. Kevin is seen as a leader in innovative thinking and company progression with strong entrepreneurial prowess, which is evident in his development of the Geo-Spatial group within DPS, and subsequent development of the Software Services Group focused on Program Management delivery.

He has become a driving force behind the PMCS program management application utilised by a number of leading companies globally. Kevin is an early adopter of lean principles enabling and releasing maximum productivity, while driving waste and inefficiency at the program, project and organizational level. He’s pragmatic and focused using data driven decision making processes ensuring consistent focused delivery; and highly successful establishing the correct program culture through team and project integration specializing in integrated project delivery.

Managing Director, Asia Operations
Barak Newman

Barak Newman is the Managing Director of Asia Operations. After setting up the Israel Operation as a Director in 2014, Barak was appointed Managing Director of Asia Operations. Barak graduated with a B.A. in Industrial Management and Control and a MA in Jewish History. His vast experience spans a variety of roles within the semiconductor industry: Industrial Engineer, Project Manager, Tool Install and Base Build Design Manager. Other positions he has worked in include Business Development, Marketing and Sales. Barak’s areas of expertise include General Management, Business Development, Project Management, Layout and Micro-Layout, Capacity Analysis, Logistics, Scheduling, Maintenance and Management.

He has worked across a variety of other industries including Microelectronics, Pharmaceutical Medical Devices, Software Development and Travel throughout Israel, Europe, Africa and Asia.
