Continuous Professional Development (CPD) at DPS

CPD at DPS plays a vital part in how we attract, retain and develop people in all areas of our business. CPD enables us to perform to the best of our ability in what we do today in addition to preparing ourselves for future challenges. Our CPD programmes are business focused and help us to become leaders in our field. 

Examples of CPD programmes at DPS include:

  • Professional Engineering – a programme designed to guide and mentor engineers, from graduate to experienced levels, to become active Chartered Members of institutions such as Engineers Ireland, IChemE, Society of Chartered Surveyors etc. 
  • Management development – a structured training and coaching programme for current and future managers. 
  • Compliance – training to ensure we are compliant with Quality, EHS, Legal and Industry standards as well as training on internal procedures & systems. 
  • Continuous improvement – training focused on improving the way we work e.g. Lean Yellow Belt & Green Belt, Last Planner, lessons learned, engineering standards updates, presentation skills training and software/applications training.
  • Job Specific Skills – pathways for departmental specific training needed for each position in the company.
